I've looked into this before and everyone I found that tried it said it didn't last long and not worth it. But there was one guys that was on this website that said he might take it to a marine upholster or something that works with the plastic material for boats to see if they could replace the original with tinted. I'm not sure if he ever did it or not.

Hahahahhaha... Yea that's what I bought them for. Only 3/5 came working though so I ditched the idea. +that would be even more illegal than what I ended up doing with them. (In Cali)

I had a stroke of genius the other day, I ran my doorstrap through my Leatherman pouch. This allows me to access it easily while keeping it mostly out of sight and out of the way.
So far I have been able to close the door without it getting caught.
Easy, Cheap, fun!

Nothing wrong with playing around with lights. It's a Jeep, and as we all know, "Jeep" is man speak for "toy".

I just connected the halo ring and the little color bulb to a line that goes hot when you turn the ignition on.
I'm thinking about changing the little color bulb to a red one.

I love them by the way. I have 35 watt, 6,000 kelvin HID's in the housings and the are amazing. They put off a nice smooth light that is so much better than the stock headlights. I know a lot of people say not to do the HID's, that it can blind people, blah, blah, blah... I don't know if it's the shape of the housing, the fact that they are the 35 watt HIDs, or that I painted the eye lids on them, but they are not blinding at all. They are much brighter than the stock headlights, but honestly, I could tape a couple of flashlights to the bumper and it would be better than the stock lights.

I had to make a slight modification to the housing, I'd be happy to explain if you decide to do it.

Oh, lol, got you. One of my local Jeeps buddies says that the stock headlights are about as good as having a pair of midgets sit on the bumper holding candles.

Yep. And I love it. Full write up coming very soon. It is a Poison Spyder TrailGate. All aluminum.

Here is a pict of it down and another pict with the tire swung in. Now I really have to paint the inside tub!
