I have the Smittybilt Rear SRC Classic Bumper with Tire carrier and for the price it is pretty unbeatable. The only issues are you have to drop the gas tank to put it on, the bumper rattles a bit with the connector, and the holes don't line up very well for installation.

It looks nice, holds a tire, has a 2" receiver mount, and is a bumper ... For me thats all I really need. If you are looking at the front bumper then I have no idea

I have both front and rear src and love them both. I have to agree that tie rear was a pain to install, but not that bad considering.

I have the SRC front and rear bumpers for my TJ. I have no idea why people are having issues installing them cause mine went on very easy. Maybe the classic bumper goes on differently but their SRC "tube" style with tire carrier was very easy and no hassles at all. The only thing I can say bad about the front is that its a pain to get to your engine bay from the front of your jeep, and if you dont have a winch then theres a huge gap to fill.

You're not kidding about a gap. My friends doesn't have anything, and one day I wanted a ride across a long a$$ parking lot to my jeep, but he already had someone else. So I sat where the winch goes and it was a pretty awesome seat. A little roomy, and I'm 6'3" and 290lbs. Felt like an amusement park ride

This made me LOL. I can imagine someone riding up there, too funny.

Thanks for all of the feedback. Another quick question. Is the xrc 8 a good winch or should I just save up for like a warn?

Well I have a warn and I say save for one of those, check cl and get a good used one, but there are people that say the xrc is ok, but I'm the type of guy that doesn't like to skimp on stuff that can get me out of a sticky situation

Hey all, first post from a first-time jeep owner!

My bike rack wouldn't quite fit with the spare tire on the back...so i drilled a new hole & angled it back ever-so-slightly, now it fits perfect. Free! & only took about a minute.

Also, question for everyone. Do you think there would be a good use for some 3/4" eye-rings? Maybe attach through bumper etc for some DIY recovery points or something??....
What I'm getting at is....I have a ton of these from work with no use for em. I'd gladly send them to anyone who wanted some if you pay shipping. I seriously have about 400 brand new (these are like $10 each at hardware store)

What is the best cb for a jeep? Considering price, reliability, weather, speaker clarity, pa speaker, anl (Auto Noise Limiter), ease of use, & back light display, also i like the small/compact kind
Sorry, that may sound like a lot. I've done some research & found the Midland 1001 LWX, it has met every one of my requirements. So if you have found an even better one, please reply to this post.

I wanted everything you want. Did my searching too. I got the midland. It's a great cb. Has everything and none of the other ones do. Pull the trigger

Unless they are rated I would definately not use them for recovery points.

What is the best cb antenna? Specifically a fiberglass & not magnetic. It doesn't matter about length because you can usually get a selection of length with most cb antennas. I do want a 5 foot antenna if it actually does matter

Yep I did the firestik 2. I'm happy with the 4' mounted on the cowl. Nice range.

I would TOTALLY do this except my current hellion gnawed the crap out of his predecessor's collar. What a jerk. If he's not careful, his is going to be on the rear-view pretty soon. Puppys are a handfull to be sure.

I love dogs haha, they can cause trouble at times but if your sick they won't leave your side. They are so smart

I have made grab handles and wrapped the handle on my dash with 550 cord it's great! Also it wasn't cheap but I just put some Firestone destinations M/T 33x12.5x15 on the other night.

Those look like lifting eyes like I use at work. They should have a rating stamped on them.
