Has anyone tried to paint thair head light bezels, or their mirrors? To match their body color?

I'm curious of how it would turn out.

Bezels look at a JK they match stock, as for mirrors I think most people keep them black

I've seen the bezels color matched looks ok on some colors. As for the mirrors. I think that wouldn't look good.

I made a place for my cooler to sit. It is bolted onto my tire carrier. I don't have a spare anyway, but if and when I ever get one I'll modify my cooler cage. It will probably have to sit above the spare. I don't like it that high in the air, but I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.

Ugly, lol.. Take a lightly wet piece of sandpaper and gently scuff the chrome on bezels and just slap some rustoleum bedliner on them and they will look smexy in black. Scuffing allows the paint to bind better.

There is someone on here that painted his headlight trim rings green to match and they looked good.
I don't think the mirrors would look good the same color.

I did my headlight bezels (and grill inserts) body color. I did not want the"black eye" look.

Like the bumper. I just found one of those for a friend on a facebook group with a set of halo driving lights for $130 bucks. I told my buddy if he gets tired of it that I would trade him, LOL!

a quick and easy one is to go to an army navy store and but various pouches. i have three m16 ammo pouches and two butt packs. then you can ziptie them to the rear roll bars. can be used for storage of anything you desire.

The only problem I see with half inch is it not having enough plies to keep it from warping. you have to seal it really good to keep any moisture from warping it.
I would personally go with something more rigid like the 3/4 inch plywood...

So when I bought my jeep it didn't have any lighting on the inside at all other then the gauges and hvac controls so I went to autozone and bought the led strips for $15 found the original floor board light wires and wired them up. They have the 3m tape made onto them so I just stuck them on the lip at the bottom of the dash. Worked great and now I can see my floor boards at night!

Your gonna want to zip tie that wire up that's under the driver. You'll catch it on your foot when pushing the gas or getting in. I did and I yanked a ground... Still don't know what it was for

Yeah I haven't got around to that because this weekend I'm going to get another set to mount so I can see the back of my jeep. I left an open side on the butt connector for the reason and I wasn't gonna waste zip ties. But I tore my speaker wires loose by doing that and it sucked haha

Mine had floor lights and a dome light. I replaced the bulbs with led bulbs for $3. Much brighter now!

Yeah I know that's what I though too. They also cut the wires in the fender wells for my third brake light..I don't understand some people's motives for things

I'm in the same boat as you Thorn, but at least I have an aftermarket soundbar...Now I just need to figure out how to rewire it so the dome lights come on when the doors do. Think I may just run to Autozone and do what you did. but maybe with color

Well as far as the dome light you could run the wires under your roll bar pads and splice them into your floor board lights. That's what I planned on doin anyways

Sounds like a good plan, just need to figure out which wires run from the lights and which from the radio, I don't want my speakers to only work when the doors open.

Also does anyone have a good way to tie down wires to the frame? No carpeting in the tub and when I hit the clutch I sometimes hit the wires running from the soundbar.

If you have a test light then with the key turned turn your headlight switch counter clock wise and you will feel it click, that's how you turn your inside lights on, then just start touching wires. When you find one that's hot turn the light switch off and make sure it's the lights and not a constant. If you look under your dash on both the driver and passenger side you will see a notch cut out which is where the factory lights were. The wires SHOULD be in that general area. As for zip tying the wires, I just tie them to the first thing I see that will hold it up out of the way..as long as it ain't a moving part.
