I like to do cheap easy fun things to my tj, I have seen alot out there, but lets put all of our ideas on one thread. We all know about supension, regearing and all of that stuff, but what about the little things, that are just creative. Like cb radio mounts, anything custome. I will start off with what I have done, no available pictures but I will get some up ASAP. Well i mounted my cb behind the center console, I also made custom "oh sh*t" grab handles from 550 cord. I also put a cb speaker in place of my ash tray. I plan on doing some work with ammo cans, I know alot of you guys are CREATIVE so lets see what you guys have done.

I think you guys are using a bit too much bow in some cases. You want to put some tension on the top but some of these top and tonneau bows that I'm seeing are causing a huge hump in the top or tonneau which I personally think is unnecessary and unattractive. I can't see this last setup from the outside, and it doesn't look as extreme as some of the others, so I'm not necessarily talking about your setup...

I've been wanting to do this for a while. My Rampage bowless has support beams that do the same thing but they can be noisy. I added PVC insulation around the bows to help snug them up to the top and prevent slapping, which helped, but I still want to do something from one side to the other instead of front to back... and fab something up for my tonneau cover when I put it back on.

I drive a 95 yj and am considering modding the gas cap opening. I like how it's behind the license plate, but the problem is, a lot of gas pumps where I live are too big to fit under the brake light. So I'm considering changing the location to where it is on most other jeeps, on the side. Any thoughts? I haven't even looked to see how possible this is, it's jus an idea right now

I just made it today, so I'm gonna wait for the rain in the next few days. But I agree, some have way too much hump and mine did at first as well.

After some trial and error I think I got mine to a reasonable height. No huge bump In the top, just enough for water not to puddle. I'll post a pic of the outside in the AM.

Today I had the doors and top off in my jeep and It started to rain and I forgot my windows at home, all I had were two bunjee cords and some zip ties. I wanted to put my top up but for those of you that have tried to put up the top without windows know; it tuns the rear flaps that hold the top down into sails and it feels like they are going to rip off or break. So I zip tied those flaps to the rollbar and used the bunjee cords to hold down the back. It worked really well, even on the highway.

I was worried about that too. Had to drive about 45 minutes from the range the other day, didn't have my windows. So I just put the top up anyway, with the sails in, and tried it out.

It's about a 55mph (most of the way) 45 minute drive. I don't know how they hold up if you go faster, or if you do it continually, but I didn't have any problems on the one drive.

Who is this question for? if it was to me, the handle on my back seat is on the top, so no worries there.

Idk technically why not but it just didnt turn out well. It wasnt rough at all, it just looked like splotchy paint. I think the wood like soaked it up

I like that design. At least when the rear seat is in, a theif would never know something was back there. Unfortunately i almost never put the seat in so i have to come up with some other hidden design.

Also I always forget to lock my tailgete so it's a good thing I never leave anything like that in my jeep. Which reminds me, gotta go check something.
