Thanks! Actually used it the other day too. A friend came over and we shared a beer while I looked at his car for a CEL.

Ima about to copy a few of you that have replaced the stock air box to make room for the smittybilt air compressor.

Leaving for pick a part in ten mins. Are there any specific makes and models to look for? I was just gonna find something that had a cone filter and a 3" tube attached. Suggestions?

03-06 Automatic TJ Skid Plate Mod

If you have an 03-06 auto with a decent lift you probably have seen this issue before. So we decided to fab up a U bracket and fix it. Flexing again... for free!

Interesting. I'm not big on lights like that but I kind of like that.

I like this, is this the OEM skid plate for the tranny right??? And not main skid/tranny mount?

Bed line oil filter before install. Makes easier removal.

Ken - Just the stock tranny skid only found on the automatics (03-06). After my lift the shaft hit it on every trail ride even when the sway was connected. I decided to mod it versus buying a tummy tuck because of funds for now. More details are on my build link below but if you weld or have access to a welder it is pretty easy.

Would never have thought to do that, but I like it. May have to steal your idea one of these days.

Did you sand that at all, or just clean it off good and spray it?

Looks good. I almost have mine finished. Still need to do the glove box and strip behind the grab handle.

Just cleaned it off well and then did two or so coats. I varied the texture of the lining by distance. Started somewhat close then backed off some for each coat. Painted the skull shift knob too but don't have any pics. I like the colored interior but since the jeep will be black soon (I hope) bed lining worked best. Thanks btw

The hood? You mean the top part?
