"Not illegal" or have not been caught? Can't imagine that flashing blue lights on anything other than a cop car would be legal in any state. I had blue lights under my mustang when I was a teenager. Had them turned on in the parking lot while I was at work (dumb kid stuff) and had a cop come in and make me take them off.

Light laws vary by state. Missouri, where I was born run Red for Police, and Blue for Fire. Here, it's Blue for Police and Red for Fire. You don't have to do anything in Missouri for Blue lights, they are only ASKING for the right of way. Not here, they are the law here. That's when I got checking and found all the different light laws per state.

So, just check your state and local laws and enjoy....

In the State of Missouri blue lights are not allowed without a permit. Study the light law carful. I've had many cops say it was OK then later pulled me over for my lights.

Massachusetts is the same way, other than full time Police & Fire, red and blue lights are by permit only. In fact the law is even specific to forward facing red for fire and blue for police. We had split red/blue light bars on a few crusiers a number of years ago. Our Chief got a letter from the MA RMV indicating that the cars were in violation of the law (C90S7E) and was told to remove the forward facing red lights.

I've seen that post and I'm pretty sure it was this thread. No idea how far back it would be though.

Made this from PVC to support a kayak hanging out the back. It works! The bow slips between the seats and get strapped to the seat frames. The horizontal pieces pull off, leaving behind a rack for up to seven rods. The last two pics show it before I added the rod holder feature.

Can Anyone recommend a good new radiator in the sub 300$ range? I can install it myself so never mind the labor cost. Thanks

Your local yunkyard should be able to get you a stock one for a round 150 ish, and very simple in stall. Oh and that a new one too.

I'd like an explanation to that. I thought double more rows meant more cooling

I would have to agree, if you are running a stock 4.0 you don't need the extra expense of a 2 or 3 row.

If however you are running a big hemi or something you may need an upgraded radiator.

I put in a Griffen racing radiator in my fairlane. Way overkill on the stock setup, but I planned to put in a high output racing engine later. I am not even going to mention how much that thing cost though. But long story short, I didn't NEED it in that car, and I wouldn't put one in my TJ (if wouldn't fit anyway). It barely fit in the car and I had to get a modified water pump and fan assembly to make everything clear. And all these fit and finish issues on a small block 302 and relatively large engine bay.

the straight 6 looks like it's longer than the 302 and the engine bay is definitely shorter. There is no way you would fit a radiator like that in my jeep.

I just recently got a 2 Row champion radiator, so far works great, easy install, no problems, $200 shipped with a lifetime warranty, bought it from ledfoot racing. So far I'm really happy with it

I also think it's a bit thicker than stock, it doesn't case any issues with clearance though

That's pretty damn clever! I've often wondered about those rod holders - is there a way you strap the rods in? I'd be terrified going down the highway that my rods would fly out if I hit a bump. Not that my rods & reels are really great, but if I got to the beach and didn't have any fishing equipment, I'd be REALLY bummed.

I thought the blue lights were only illegal if they were flashers. I live in JC MO and have seen a ton of retards idiots drive around with those stupid blue lights and don't get pulled over. Though the kids around here like to hang out in the Walmart, K-mart, and Hobby Lobby parking lots and I have seen law enforcement stopped to talk to them and they shut off their blue lights. I will have to do some digging on that, because I know that flashing blue lights are only allowed with a permit, but as far as straight blue lights, IDK.

Dude...I swear I used to know the guy in the yellow and blue bike shirt. If it is the same guy he used to have a sweet 4 banger wrangler(or still does, I haven't seen him in years). I used to hang out with him from time to time when I lived in Denver.
