Didnt want solid plastic guards, as they might crack, get ripped off etc when out in the ruff stuff... so i used some Bus Flares to covers my tires...

They're rated for Power over Ethernet, which can be up to around 36 Watts I believe (near the source, it does drop, but it wont drop below 25 until 300 feet or so). As long as it is Cat5 or better (Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6), you could get away with running anything that doesn't require more than 3 Amps or so.

You could probably run more current though them and get away with it, but I'd still run better wire (I run enough Cat5 at work).

I havent been on this site in almost a year. I suddenly have become very interested in modifying my jeep. After reading this thread from where I last left off I have become even more enthused. Next weekend I will finish the outside painting... Which was started like three months ago woops. As well as the inside of my hardtop i plan on painting black.. I think bedliner?? Then to the junk yard to get some half doors (white) to wait for my soft top that i will be buying as soon as tax money comes in. Opinions frameless or frame??? Oh and that will be white as well also thinking down the road to do the cj tailgate mod!

I think that is an awesome looking Jeep! Never seen one quite like that... Love the inverted black and white look I think (if they offer it) a white rampage frameless would look amazing on that.

This would have been nice to know when I was doing fiberglass work. Of course it never really bothered me back when I was doing it.

I'd imagine he's talking about flares for a VW Bus. Cool idea - looks pretty damn good, too!

Painted the tan panels of my donor doors with duplicolor vinyl spraypaint.

Attachment 231995

Attachment 231996

Now the door panels are a lot darker than the dash stuff. But I plan to paint them as well.

I don't know if this has been talked about, but last week I took all the roll pads out (tan) of the jeep. It was a little PITA because of all the screws you have to loosen to get them out. Then I painted them black.... With fabric die from auto zone... then put them back in.

I did this one mine, they were faded purple haha but I read how much of a pain they were and actually just left them on and used old bed sheets and frog tape to cover up the car

Jeep ancillary equipment

This is not a Jeep mod, it is though cheap, easy and fun. I made this with scraps from previous honey-do's projects.

Really Just Painting it how you want and bolting on the all brackets. Of course you have to have all the parts, I was lucky.. I got all 4 of these cheap AND with all the extra parts (except brackets for the cable but that's easy to get).

Yes. For me it was worth it. I had worn tan with ugly mud stains.... I know wear the mud proud which i do, but stains are different IMO... With it redone they look brand new. This beats paying $100-$200. Also it took maybe four hours max, removal, wash, paint, dry, put back together....

This is the best thread here..! I just spent like a week off and on reading it, and just couldn't leave the Jeep alone...
Rustoleum bedliner sprayed the grille, removed a couple of factory stickers, and put on a couple stickers Turbostixxx made for me.
I did actually remove all of the "wrangler", "4.0 L", and the "Jeep" stickers/lettering from both sides...

Jeep Seat Cover Towel

I made this tonight. I intend on putting it to use this summer between the pool and the beach trips.

I found the Towel at Wally world for $3. The entire pack of Eyelets for $2. And the Hook can be found at Lowes for around $2 in various colors as well.

Total cost $7

Quick description;
I folded the edge with the tag over about 2 inches. Who wants the tag irritating your leg as your riding? Not I.

Here, your supposed to use some sort of Eyelet tool but ain't no body got time for that. I just bent back the male portion a few times and hammered away after that.

And fin!

Not pretty, but Cheap, Easy, and will allow me to have fun this summer.

Cheers!
