I never chopped mine but I like the stubby look and also the diagonal ends, maybe trim a few inches off and make a stubby diagonal cut?

Anyone have a mod for the hardtop back window being able to be sturdy and not moving if I drive around town with it open? Or ideas on what I should use and do? I like having the air come in from the back when my doors are off, its also good for rear seat passengers since they don't get a window

Can you post a picture of how they attach? I have a soft top, you may be able to easily fab up some quick disconnects.

That is a modified tee gripping the rollbar. Another option is what Is called a bondable saddle. As for the pic that appears to be, and I use 1" for mine.

I think you guys are using a bit too much bow in some cases. You want to put some tension on the top but some of these top and tonneau bows that I'm seeing are causing a huge hump in the top or tonneau which I personally think is unnecessary and unattractive. I can't see this last setup from the outside, and it doesn't look as extreme as some of the others, so I'm not necessarily talking about your setup...

I've been wanting to do this for a while. My Rampage bowless has support beams that do the same thing but they can be noisy. I added PVC insulation around the bows to help snug them up to the top and prevent slapping, which helped, but I still want to do something from one side to the other instead of front to back... and fab something up for my tonneau cover when I put it back on.

I drive a 95 yj and am considering modding the gas cap opening. I like how it's behind the license plate, but the problem is, a lot of gas pumps where I live are too big to fit under the brake light. So I'm considering changing the location to where it is on most other jeeps, on the side. Any thoughts? I haven't even looked to see how possible this is, it's jus an idea right now

I just made it today, so I'm gonna wait for the rain in the next few days. But I agree, some have way too much hump and mine did at first as well.

After some trial and error I think I got mine to a reasonable height. No huge bump In the top, just enough for water not to puddle. I'll post a pic of the outside in the AM.

For the T's to clamp better I just have a bit longer bow. Believe me they are a motherfather to take out if the top is still on...
Doesn't stretch the top all that bad.
After being on for 3 years here is how it looks from the inside:

and another from inside:

Yes I know its wavy but that is from taking it on and off when it was hot out so the PVC actually got pliable.

And this is from the outside, look to the left and you can see how much it bows up.

Distance shot:

I made a downfiring 10" sub enclosure / rear trunk kid. I'm able to keep room for my tool bag and is very simple to remove.
