Made a lock box to put under the back seat. Drilled holes and put a shackle through with lock pin on inside. Bolted it down and using a word lock so I don't have to have a key to open

You can find em at Military surplus stores... or do what I did: Trade the stock stereo for an ammo can filled with fresh elk steaks. Best craigslist deal ever, haha

Hey my names Tanisha! && I bought a jeep a few months ago! I love my jeep so much, I made it my duty to get her as sexy as possible lol. So I decided to paint the interior all black! It was a cheap upgrade from the ugly grey and black! Check it out!
Gutted her by taking apart the whole interior, and hitting her with some vinyl paint! After of course sanding and a good cleaning! What do u guys think??? Sexy right?? Lol
I plan on doing the body wrapping next! Will post when I'm done!

Nice improvement over the grey. Black goes better with red anyway. Looks nice.

Now just do something about those seats. Got the same ones in mine, been debating what to cover em with.

I got mine off of Amazon. Just type in Ammo Can.

It looks like he has the 30 caliber in the pics. I went the 50 Cal (SAW/Fatty) for more storage space.

Wow! That's amazing! What kind of paint did you use? I tried to paint interior before, and did NOT use heat-resistant spray paint...BIG MISTAKE. Summer is hot in Texas and it bubbled and looked terrible...

However, yours looks great!

I used Duplicolor spray paint. U can buy it from autozone or advanced auto parts. I got gloss black and love it! Make sure u use some ATP to clean the surfaces, and do a good wet sand so that the paint can set in better to the groves.

Hope the Duplicolor stuff lasts longer for you than it did for me. I used Krylon fusion and that has been great. The duplicolor started chipping off my test piece within a month. Heres a link to our interior painting writeup, Lots of great ideas in there to make a bland interior look even better

I've got that bumper too. Tough as hell. I've slammed it hard several times and only scratched the paint.

I used the duplicolor flex bumper paint ( black) to go from spice to black on my TJ. Stuff is great, holds up awesome, sprays great. Warm can first in warm water, DONT sand, wash with dawn dish soap then acidtone. I did whole dash, doors and console. Super easy fix. CANt post pics

The bumper paint is a different story, that is decent stuff. their plastic paint is crap tho.

I used the plastic paint on my flares like 6 months ago. And on a few interior pieces about a month ago. Stuff is holding up fine for me. Maybe the prep work makes a difference with it.

I sanded mine and then used a self etching primer. Hasn't chipped or bubbled or anything yet.

Maybe, I do agree that prep work is the most important step in any paint process. Personally, I wouldnt have used a self etching primer on plastic since the acid thats in it only bites into metal. I did all the prep work right (been in the auto paint business for a while now) and was testing to see which held up better. In my tests the krylon fusion did way better than the Duplicolor. But my interior was in pretty good condition when I started the project. my interior is going on 18 months now and only minor issues where it takes alot of abuse. ie., center console where my kids step on it every time they get into the back seat, and the spot where my keys bang up against the knee board. Not saying that is has to be Krylon or nothing but read through that interior thread and you can see that Krylon has worked better for many others, even a few people had to strip the duplicolor to switch to the krylon.

If you really want something you will never have to worry about then find some SEM flexible color coat. it only comes in the basic colors which is why I had to go with Krylon to get the yellow. But SEM is what we use for interior repairs and once you put a heat gun on that stuff for a few seconds, it will never come off.

For the flares it was more of an experiment to see what black looked like, I figured if it started peeling I could just redo it in bed liner. But surprisingly it hasn't failed yet.

So about a month ago I had some interior pieces out anyway while installing the i vault. Figured what the hell, lets paint before I put em back in. Still looks good so far.

After installing my Bestop tire carrier, I did not want to drill more holes into the back of my tailgate to use their stock third brakelight carrier mount. So, I cut the end off a center cap, and used a led light with the rubber grommet mount stuffed in it. Re-used the stock wiring, and put connectors behind tire when I need to remove it. Cost: $5.00

I fabbed my own rear trackbar mount out of a piece of 1/4" channel when I outboarded my rear shocks. The stock mount was in the way. Cost: $0.00

Also been done a million times. Maglite clip license plate mount. Cost: $6.00

Love the 3rd brake light! I'll be stealing that one.... thanks.

I'm sure I missed a lot of cool stuff, but I just couldn't go through 261 pages of stuff.

Cheap mod I did yesterday was I used 3' velcro straps from Home Depot to mount a fire extinguisher and my 6 cell mag light to the roll cage. Works great!!
