thats not a bad idea, only problem is i live in a bigger city, so it would be hard finding a nice local small paint shop, ill definetly look into tho and see what they have to offer. the urban camo doesnt sound to bad, I was also thinking about painting the fenders camo too. hmmm?? so many ideas!

the only bad thing about white is that you could do any color, blue green yellow red, it would all look nice if you did it in moderation. you could even do the white grey and black camo on the diffs and then on the seat covers. or yellow diffs and yellow seat covers, oppurtunities are endless for a yellow jeep

just another idea that i did..... i took the steps/running boards off my yj, patched the holes and used that liner to along the bottom edge. ive had a lot of comments on it. i think i might redo it with herculiner at some point though...

heres how it looked looked and looks

I have seen a few black hoods on Jeeps. It looks good if done right. heres one of my fav pics. As for using bedliner on the hood, it wont hurt anything this stuff is tough and made to hold up to extreme conditions. just know that it may be a pain to clean.

You just have to remember to paint over the POR. Because it deteriorates in the sunlight

wow i really like that. but if i did it i wouldnt be doing the whole hood. its and 89 yj. it has the slightly raised section in the middle of the hood. thats what i would line. i feel like it would make it look more aggressive.

like this one. i found this earlier in thead and saved it. bad arse jeep.

Sexy! I say do it, I think it would look good. Alot of people do that because they bought the wrong lights for their windshield mounts. Like they bought fog lights instead of driving lights, It helps reduce the glare. But never the less I think it looks great!

just to be clear, fog lights are for close range and wide right, i plan on putting two fog lights on my bumper, but i want the lights to brighten up whats right in front of me and to the sides. my four lights and headlights work good enough for long distance..

on another note, boy did i come up on some ammo can gold today, i probable have around 50 ammo cans, some small medium and kinda large but not center console large. man i have soo many ideas floating in my head right now, ones definetly for tools, a small one is going to be a first aid kit, and another one is going to be for a shower/waterpump. I have so many i might go ammo can crazy

i have seen some cargo boxes under the hood where the jack would be. its kinda pointless to have it when u haave a lift and bigger tires. maybe u can fab somthin up to put there. somethin to keep tools in or the stuff u have to clean your batteryterminals...just a thought

Just a thought, go to a decal shop and have them make one. Should not be expensive and if you dont like it remove it, no harm to the hood.

Theres not alot of room under the hood for ammo cans on a 4.0 TJ. Thats one thing I have been working on is storage, and so far have come up with next to nothing... I would be interested to see what other people are doing for storage.

This box from offroadtools.com fits under the hood on the tray under the brake booster' if you haven't already mounted something else there.

They are pricey though.

Oil / Tool Box, Satin, Jeep, Wrangler, TJ, Auto. 97-06, LJ, Jeep, Wrangler, Rubicon, Tools, ORTT, CJ, TJ, LJ, JK, YJ,4x4, Off road, Trail

Will post pics ASAP. hopefully Saturday night. Heres a few pics of the diff for now.

Also since I cant afford a winch at the moment I put a $7 tool box in that spot from harbor freight. Enjoy and more pics coming soon
To do the diff, did you have to do any prep beforehand?

Not speaking for Yeller or anything, but you should prep it, sand it down, primer, and lay a few heavy coats. And something else that'll help the inside from rusting through is to clear coat the shit out of it. Mines done this way and its great.

I think that tray is actually meant for the ABS module, the cavity underneath it is where the drugs go geez.

I saw another website where a guy moved all the evap stuff that is on the drivers inner fender to below that tray, then you could put a ammo box where the evap stuff is for storage.
