In my opinion I wouldn't paint the wheels I have the same ones and think they would look better untouched but that's my .02.

Grille insterts: remove or paint

Headlight bezels: I like then chrome over black since it breaks up the color

Gas cap ring: paint or replace

Sway bar cover: paint or PM me I'll ship you the factory one that I plastic dipped for the cost of shipping

Wheels: leave them be, those rims are great

All of this is just my opinion and you should do what you like best.

As you're finding out, nearly everyone on here hates chrome...You'd think it was invented by the nazis or something...

However, I think it looks cool on your ride...goes well with the kind of steel- blue body. I think it looks great. Spend your time and/or money on performance or recovery items, not pure cosmetics (which are completely subjective).

This.

I'm a big fan of blue and chrome. Maybe lose the inserts tho. Just my 2 cents.

Painted the fenders with bedliner. Also had rust above the front fenders (where every jeep gets rust) and sanded down to bare metal and painted that front section too. Came out great.

Did you end up doing the side steps since they aren't masked off? If so, how did it turn out??

I said for under $200 and I've had the BL for years I was referencing the lift that I made/bought cost $65 is all. Thought some fellow engineers would appreciate that

And $65 isn't a typo, $50 for 5k miles used BDS 2" Rubicon front springs and stock Rubicon rear springs, and $15 worth of hardware from ace. But because my jeep is a 4 banger it lifted it 3 1/2" up front because of the much stiffer springs

Bought a recycled rubber mat from Lowes for $22. Cut it to length and trimmed about an 1/8" off each side. Now I don't have to worry about things sliding all over. Also installed a storage box that fits almost perfect between the wheel wells for storing my tools, recovery gear, etc... All done with the money I made from selling my rear seat and still have a little left over!

I did somethin similar with the mat out of our 3500 when the pops had it bedlined. (The only time we've used bedliner for what it's intended.) And some shears to make it fit around the hardware. It's not the most elegant solution, and I'm not sure if I'll put it back in when we eventually line the tub, but the price is right: free.
