I love the idea of a cooler stereo like that but it seems silly to buy an expensive cooler and cut it up taking away all functionality. It'd be cheaper to just build some sort of box to enclose everything in so you don't have to lose the functionality of your cooler itself. Still, really awesome!

PS. That dark red color is called Chili Pepper Red.

Doesn't the cooler serve as some kind of waterproofing?

You can also look at the door sticker and see what the paint code is. If it's PU4 then that is"flame red".

I haven't had any problems with it so far and I've had 102 degree weather for the past week.

HMMWV LED tail lights, got them free.

Push button start, no key needed. Free. I even disabled the steering wheel lock. I did write up if you look under my threads.

Wired a new headlight harness like many people did but took it one step farther. The relays needed are inside the stock fuse box under the hood.

After market steering wheel after I removed the airbags. Painted it to match the Jeep as it was fading.

Made my own TC skid.

Depends on how many coats you use. But I would say not more than an hour for the base dry, and 2 hours to make sure that any debris or pressure put on the paint doesn't cause it to make imprints. It would also be wise to use clear coat layers above the colored layer once it dries; just for extra protection.

So awesome! I need to some how get my hands on a pair of those. If only I can tactically acquire a pair that happen to be laying around the vmf.
Does it require rewiring or does it use the stock connections?

Must rewire. I did a write up on JF if you want to see it.

I was always afraid that we would hit a bump and he'd fall out. Not that he would hit the ground, or choke (he is restrained by a car safe chest harness) but still, I worried. So, I made a "cargo net" with a window in it.

I got 5 yards of 1 1/15" webbing off eBay for $9.02, I had all the D-rings, and I bought some Velcro straps from Walmart (4 3yard straps in each package, bought 2 packages) for $11.90. So it was $21 (or so) total.

I just measured between the roll bars in each window and sewed it up. I cut each of the Velcro straps in half so each one is 18" long. They are pretty strong and I don't worry about it when he leans on it, which he does. He is definitely more confident when looking out the window. Now he can stand on the wheel well and I don't freak out inside.

Our "boys" do the same I was using paracord netting but I like the straps better. Tried the one made for this but didn't like it, too restrictive for seeing. Looks like another trip to Wally World
I need to do this for my daughter she is 20 months and thru her teddy bear out the other day when I was riding with the windows off.

Sanded everything down a bit and gave it 3 nice coats!

Not finished with reinforcements, standard sye, and the front does need notched for the shaft.

Honestly my Jeep has been put on the back burner for while. Since 08 when I got it running I moved to GA from OH, Afghanistan for 12 months, schools where I was out of town for almost 6 months, being in field plus I now have a new toy, a 06 Cummins that gets most of my money. I am hoping to start fixing/finishing the jeep starting this winter.

I agree with this poster. You have some people quoting some stupid line "chrome don't get you home".... well "black don't get you back". It's your Jeep. Don't try to make it so that everyone else likes it. Make it so YOU like it. You'll never satisfy everyone so stop trying. Good luck with your build.
