Thanks! This is what I used. They cut real easy. Once you mark it out where you want to cut take the razor knife score the line, then apply more pressure on your second pass, the blade followed we it was scored.

Did some more rattle can painting. Headlight bezels, grill, front and rear bumpers, and 3" strip along the hood. Rear bumper had a decent amour of surface rust.

it's helpful to take out the center rope of the paracord- makes for a smoother, less chunky wrap!

Are you worried about it retaining any heat or making the cab area to hot to sit? I am in Southern California, and i would be a bit worried that in the spring, summer, and fall, when temps are upper 90's and into the 100's that the cab may become a bit of an oven with it.

Also, is your design set up to work will full doors so the top can stay on year round?

If it gets too hot....I'll either put a piece of foam insulation on the interior....or paint the larger area on top silver....or both.

It has enough clearance for the doors....I need to put a angle inside for the weather stripping to seat against.

This was a test bed for one I want to make out of aluminum. This winter I'll make a good set of drawings on it. it will be a more refined piece. I'll be using the bed liner on it.

That sounds nice. when you start the project, if you dont mind, document each step with pictures and post it. I for one would love to "watch" it being build.

basically all i need to do is to get that seal to sit back in its original position when i close the door. in the first picture, the portion that is sticking out needs to be pushed back in and stay in when i open and close the door
I have a smitty built top, easy fix! undo your Velcro and pull tight on all 3 sides, repress! that's what I did to mine and fixed it perfectly!
