Leather shifter boot install. These boots came on the 05+ TJ's. I ordered a boot from Jeep and it was about $50. Very easy to install. Cut the metal ring off the leather boot and hot glue it to the stock plastic ring.

Some of these are not easy, but they were cheap.

Rear storage hatch on my 02 TJ (stolen)

The thieves got all these tools that were packed in the hatch.

I took the padding off the sound bar (02 TJ), welded it up, filled the gaps, and painted it.

Soft window holder

Mods to hold a 33 on the tail gate. Wood spacers for the rubber bumpers and pcv pipe to lift the light.

06 LJ Rubicon
JL amp install under seat

JLW6 crammed into a modified stock box (that was a pain!)

rear fender lift

[QUOTE=S8CREDGROUND;1410496]Or, instead of the Rhino lining stuff...have you thought about using Plasti Dip? I bought a can of the dipping style and two cans of the spray on. I absolutely love the stuff! LOL I did my headlight bezels and antenna. Then, I did some of my tools that had no grip on them. Oh, and I did the lock nut key for my wheels so it won't scratch stuff up.

I guess, it all depends on application and the abuse that it will take in that location.

Never even knew they made that stuff, that could be goof for something im sure, maybe the handles, idk about the grill though. thanks for the idea, ima look around and see what i can do.

Good luck.

You are not alone!!! I love plasti-dip!!! Bumpers, bezels and handles are all plasti- dipped!! $6 a can at Lowe's. I even blacked out my 07 Jetta chrome grille with it and not a chip in over 7000 miles!!!

Saw a fully caged TJ this weekend with a crossbar connecting the rear cage. On it was mounted 2 high end speaker pods you see on those wild ski boats. Super loud!!! Maybe not cheap but thinking about it!!! Shoulda got pics. Dangit!!!

I will let you know...it stays a little bit soft. It's basically spray on rubber. So far it's holding up on my headlight bezels. Where I had the paint keep chipping.

My Lowes has it in spray and can. Also, if you go on their website you can actually make your own colors!!!

Have fun!

Looks great! Did you reinforce the box a lot? Mine was flexing like crazy so I had to add more support. I also wanted something more stealth because I leave my top down a lot.

IDK why but i am anxious to do something to my rig, idk what, but with my wife and kid gone i have way to much free time, and im getting bored out of my mind. I Just keep drawing a blank on what to do. I am going to paint my fender flares, and bedline the handles, after thinking about it, idk if im going to do the grill, it all depends if i can get the grill off without removing the winch and bumper.
