If you have trouble getting them back on try turning the wheel, it helps.

caps give your jeep the finished look...also keep rats from getting inside to set up shop.

well then it looks like i have another project, what did you use to cut the holes, im assuming you used a small hole saw for the circles. And did you buy the lights online or a truck stop. I was even thinking about using the standard flush round lights and then a smaller round light like yours as well. so it would look like this Oo or something like that lol.

ebay is my friend. the lights arent exactly flush mounted. they stick up about an inch or so from the panel. all the flush mounted ones will have a black ring around them to cover any flaws when cutting the metal. I just didnt like the look of them. heres a link to the exact lights I used.
Red 3" Round 15 LED Surface Mount Stop Turn Tail Lights | eBay

I bought 4 of the oval ones because I originally was going to use them all but decided against it.

you can sort of see how far they stick out in this pic:

I used an air saw to cut out the holes for the oval ones. they require a 2" x 6" oval cutout. the 3" lights are actually covering the factory light cutouts. Thats why the lights look kinda close to the tailgate. I highly recommend if youre going to do this then take off your factory lights first then start planning on what youll need to do to cover the current holes in your Jeep.

Edit: also refer to this thread when dealing with the rapid turn signal flash ordeal.

they look great, but im not sure if these exact ones would look as good on my jeep, mine isnt as pretty as yours, but they dont stick out that bad. Man the decision is tough thats forsure.

but I had to modify that rocker switch. It won't work with the standard version.

Why not just cut the starter wire under your dash there and put that switch inline with that? If you're worried about warranty issues.. its really a non issue since installers do it every time they put in an aftermarket alarm. Its a great idea just trying to simplify it a little.

I didn't wanna mess with the ignition wires bc I want it to mimic everything just not start, I have no warranty on an 02 Tj so no issue there

I know this is a late comment on this but, this looks sweet! My stereo has a dark blue color & think that it would look awesome throughout the rest of the jeep. Thanks for the idea!

That might well be my next mod
I already have a rocker switch installed on the dash below the cig lighter to op the fog lights, so if I put this one in they might think its for air lockers LOL

What I think would be an awesome mod is to have a CB radio and a PA system hooked into one mic and just have a switch on it between the cb radio and PA system. Is there anyway to do this?
