i also had an old cargo net laying around from i believe my grandmothers old grand cherokee. i strapped it between the windshield roll bars for some extra storage space.

Awesome idea! I have a 99 Jeep Cherokee that has one and I might steal it and hook it up like you did. Wonderful idea.

while i was looking for a ammo can in the antique store i found this army bag from 1946. i didnt find an ammo can but i figured this would make a good tool bag, i already added my army issue flashlight. i think if i find another ammo can i might use this bag as a medic kit

i think im goin to just make it into a medic bag. mainly for the fact that tools get dirty and that bag is really in good shape. id feel bad about ruining this bag i dont care about an ammo can so much

I dont smoke so i threw it away, cut out all of the plastic crap that was in that spot to hold the tray and then shoved the speaker in there, its a perfect tight fit. and its hidden very well, alot of people dont notice it.

ALSO im not sure how many of you guys ever read up on the hand throttle mod, but i just finished mine today and cost me 11 bucks.

Hand throttle mod? Is this so you can clutch and brake while using your hand as a gas peddle?

Yes it keeps your jeep at a steady idle at whatever rpm's you want so you can work the clutch and gas at the same time.

There's a lot of homemade write ups about it here, I chose just to buy the kit because it was $30 and I didn't have any of the parts laying around you will need.

Or, you can just idle it up and drive it like a tractor.

I got the teraflex kit. If you call 4wheelparts.com and get a goo sales rep they'll hook you up with the same deal I got. Otherwise they're around $40-45

I'm planning on blacking out some things around my jeep
and i'll probably use rustoleum, would the normal enamel spraypaint be good enough or would the bedliner be better?

Rattle-can Rustoleum bedliner is tough as nails. I have it on my bumpers, sliders, and door handles and it has not worn at all. Surprisingly, it washes off easy which was one of the things I was worried about when I first put it on my bumpers.

Buy the bed liner, and don't be bashful with it. Put plenty of coats on and it'll last you a good while.

when spray lining, how many coats and how long in between before you reapply? Doing my tub, handles, fenders, rims, hinges, mirrors, anything else I figure out along the way. I bought a bunch of cans today and it's looking like a pretty nice day tomorrow.

for bumpers and sliders I recoated 4x about 15-20 minutes between coats with the Rustoleum and it turned out well. For everything else I stopped at 2 coats. I waited about 2 hours before handling after the last coat. I wouldn't want to use it on the tub. It's not as thick as the sprayon/rollon kits for that application and as stated above and it is rough like sandpaper.
