I made my light bar out of some square aluminum I got from work the lights I got from Walmart for 7bucks each so 42bucks all together including the to on the bumper
Homemade bike rack made at work for free
Front & rear recovery hooks 8bucks each at fleet farm
So 74bucks total! Not to bad

Nice Job! But $7 dollar walmart lights? What kind of output do you get on those puppies?

I'm not sure about the output but they will blind you if you look right at them! Looks like daylight when I flip them on at night, definitely can't drive on the street with them on! They were on clearance!

I really like that light bar! Want to make me one? lol. Those are decent lights but the hardware rusts out pretty quick, you can bedline all that stuff to keep the rust at bay. The last thing you want is rust running off those lights and down your windshield.

Hey there, nice mods...just want to give you a word of caution...while off roading and such, having your rear hooks faced down & forward like that could cause you to catch up on something.

That's the only place I could mount them to the frame!

You can mount them to the side of the frame but then you would have to remove the bumper corners.

I made a roof rack out of 1x1x1/8" steel tubing. I have about 200 dollars in it total metal, bedliner, bolts, welding wire and grinding wheels. $200 isn't really cheap but compared to $700 for a new one I think it's cheap! I found the metal for $1 a foot (a steal!) and I bought 100 feet of it and used almost all of it.
A picture of it underway.

Picture of it tilting back.

Life is complete. Girl of my dreams, Kayaks, and the Jeep.

All of these are before paint

Seen on here were everyone is cutting there flares. So I took a set of 6 inch rugged ridge flares I had been given and decided to cut them into some flatties.

I pulled the trigger and trimmed and painted my fender flares. I debated for a while whether or not I wanted to do it, being a Sahara model, they were body color. I decided to go for it. Jeeps are SUPPOSED to have black flares! Well, in my opinion, anyways. So I trimmed an inch off of each flare, masked off the Jeep, and painted. I love the way they look, but I'm going to have to touch them up again. I used cheap paint, and regret it. Next week I'm gonna pull them off and hit them with some Krylon Fusion.

Nice! Have a look at the "What did you do to your TJ today" thread and you'll see I did exactly the same on Sunday

I really missed a spot to let my left foot chill when I was driving so rather then spending like 40 bucks for a foot rest, I built one. $5 diamond plate and free scrap angle iron..welded/bolted it all together, painted the frame (first picture) and bent the edges of the diamond plate and boom! I think it came out real nice.

Ok so here is my idea I just need some help getting it together: what I want to do is figure out how to take the bench back seat out, install jump seats that face eachother that can be folded up if you need more space, kind of like the defender 90 hardtop has the back set up. Any ideas? Or your thoughts?

If you take the little kick pannel off there to your left. there is a little pin that will stick out. It makes an AWESOME foot rest!

If you have an LJ it's possible. If you put it on the TJ wheel hub your passengers heads will be hitting the roll bar. The Gr8tops guy on jeepforum did it I think to the LJ. But don't let me deter you away. I want jump seats!
