You could totally do that. Install a blockoff plate where the radio is with an AUX plug, then run the aux plug to an RCA adapter to amplifier(s) and voila!!

Thats where I got the idea from I would rather make my own than have someone else do it for me, gives me a sense of satisfaction plus some bragging rights.

Went from a truck tool box to new rockers and lots of extra diamond plate. I am thinking custom box for the back. I paid 25 bucks for the box last yr.

First in the pic below is the Nylon strap 1inch x 60inch $1.something (cant remember exactly how much) that I found in the craft section. Next is the Buckle & Slider $.59 that I found in the camping section.

The nylon strap is long enough for both the doors and you will have some extra. And the buckle package has 2 buckles in it so its good for both doors also.

After a bit of cheap, easy, fun, creative, engineering heres the finished product:

My only issue is how long it will last, so I will post when it breaks. but hey its only $0.59 to fix it twice so who cares lol.

The rope is the wrong size and color but I wanted to see if I could come up with something I liked before I started buying stuff. I just grabbed some rope, went on you tube, and started watching tutorials on knot tying. I found some cool stuff when I typed bracelet knot tying.

This is called a king cobra knot and I like it because it has a nice feel to it. I will definately be ordering some paracord and making some cool shiz for the Jeep. Will keep you posted on what I do.
Another good knot/wrap for a grab handle is the circular 2 strand diamond weave...I made a couple handles for the frame on my new ruck and I love them...

All I did was a 4 finger prusick on one side, weave the 550 cord, and then did a modified 4 finger prusick secured with a square knot on the other end

Holding up quite nicely thanks! Only had to adjust it once more after initial stretching was finished.

Thanks for the suggestion I was looking at something similar but wasnt sure how to get it to stay on the roll bar. This helps alot. Plus I like the color scheme. I have 100ft of black and 100ft of yellow 550 paracord on the way. Should be fun!

The only difficult part was the end, and trying to figure out how to secure it...Which is where I did the modified prusick...Other than its just time consuming but the finished product is well worth it!

That looks good! Is it flat or a cylindrical shape when you finished.

It's a cylindrical shape with the two colors "swirling" around it

I was thinking the same thing but how legel is it and safe the rr pasengers will be sitting to the side.

So I decided to mount my extinguisher somewhere that would not be easily accessible. I ended up putting the extinguisher on the top side of the shifters. All I had to do was take a screw out of the cover that sits over the tranny. And screw it back in with the mount. Looks good. And it's not where everyone can see it.it only cost about 15$, and came with the mount!

The only reason I went for the extinguisher out of site, is because people like to take crap that's not there's. I don't want to come out of the store and find it missing. It also can be grabbed from driver or passenger. And the hand throttle was a little bit of a pain. Bought the shifter from a bike store. And Walmart had a cable kit you can use. Takes a little getting used to. Practice on small hills at first.

It's nice for crawling. And it just manipulates the throttle body cable, just like the gas pedal does
