Thanks for the Idea . I've been wondering how I was gonna attach mine.

I agree I did all 4 of them 6 months ago and now I'm looking at getting a rear bumper with swing out tire carrier. Jeep nodding never ends

I keep 235's on mine so I am thinking of building my own swing out carrier and mounting it on the stock bumper, mainly cause the shape of the stock bumper makes it SOOOOOO easy to modify and reinforce.

You don't want your antenna cable running underneath the bumper. If you were to drop onto a rock in that spot, you can cut the cable real easily. I've seen it happen! As for nothing going on with the CB, did you check your SWR? If not, do a search for SWR, lots of helpful tips here.

I ran it through the wheel well and on the upper part of the frame rails, did you tune it?

I dig that. I need some backup lights. Did you caulk around the edge of the lights where they meet the surface of the bumper?

Yes I did. A light coat just so they don't vibrate. There's a lip on the lights I got that make a perfect L shape into the hole so there perfectly smooth on the outside. There called platinum burners. You can get them at walmart.

While it isn't "cheap" it's cheaper than buying a hard top, so I'm going to make my own ill post concept art tonight after I draw it up, will cost 4-700$ I'm predicting. The reason I'm making it is so its exactly what I want!

ill have to do it when i get home. all i did was get the bracker, a sharpier and color in the holes so i know where to drill. drill all the way through then drill another hole (i still need to do this) so the antenna wire will fit through. right now i have it set up so the antenna is on the inside of the tailgate and my soft top is kinda out of the way

I welded the muffler clamps to the bracket, but you can also drill through and use short bolts into the muffler clamp.

You could mount your antenna on your mirror bracket depending on your mirror bracket you have. That's how mine is mounted and it's out of the way there.
