Drilled holes and mounted with metal screws. Nothing in betwen plate and body....if you can make the pictures larger you can see the screw heads....

Thank you. Would that be strong enough to mount a step too?

I don't know, its more of an asthetic thing held onto the tub with screws. I would think a step would need to be onto the frame with larger bolts. I don't know if the tub could withstand the pressure. The aluminum treadplate is plenty strong, its the body that prolly wouldn't hold up to the stress of someone standing on a step attached to it.

You'll be lucky if it last 5 months. I used my winch 3 times. The third time, I had to plug in the cable since the remote didn't work any longer. I always removed the battery so it would stay fresh and no corrode. It was nice while it worked though.

Here is my previous post on my home made door straps. Holding up quite nicely btw.

Went to Walmart the other night after a long car ride and was browsing the store when I came across a few interesting things. First in the pic below is the Nylon strap 1inch x 60inch $1.something (cant remember exactly how much) that I found in the craft section. Next is the Buckle & Slider $.59 that I found in the camping section.

The nylon strap is long enough for both the doors and you will have some extra. And the buckle package has 2 buckles in it so its good for both doors also.

After a bit of cheap, easy, fun, creative, engineering heres the finished product:

My only issue is how long it will last, so I will post when it breaks. but hey its only $0.59 to fix it twice so who cares lol.

Oh yea got new matching seat covers and painted my sons seat with the same krylon fusion to match lol

Dont Judge me! haha
Who makes those seat covers? Those are nice.

IGGEE customs. got them from ebay. They are simulated leather and more importantly they are waterproof. they are holding up alot better than I had expected, no fading yet but they get dirty easily. I recommend you scotchguard the crap out of them if you get a set.

I run a lockright in the front. Works ok, it is a pain in 4 low because I dont get up enough speed to have it unlock when I let off. Wish I had an ARB front to match the rear....

It locks while there is power on it. Usually in low, I always am ether stopped, or moving slowly, not much "coasting".
