On a completely unrelated note, I think I'm about to do the gayest cheap/easy/fun/creative mod ever...a little back story: I put on a hurst t-handle shifter (a left-over from my old rust-bucket 4-Runner) and while it's nice, my nancy-boy hands get too cold in the winter with it (it's friggin metal, for gods sake), so I cut up an old "Brew Thru" beer cozy and this weekend I will put sewing machine to neoprene to make a shifter-handle cozy. I'll come hard with pics after the weekend. Frozen fingers crossed that this works.

I just put a Hurst on for the same reason, I like the feel and am used to it from a previous old muscle car, and forgot about the cold....MAKE TWO!

I'm on my second one. Had one in my old Toyota. Put a new one in my jeep. Back in collage I used to keep a toboggan on it while it was parked. Often considered rigging up an element from an old electric blanket into a cover and running power off the cig lighter. For those cold nightdress after night class

Dang it...I thought I was the only one doing collages in my nightdress. Sorry...yeah, I'll let y'all know how my "thread injection" goes with the "shifter handle cozy"...velcro is going to be my friend, I have a feelin...still have no idea how I'm going to get everything to fit together...hopefully my mom has some kind of idea. Though, it's already a pretty good fit...it "seams" (hahaha...sorry) I'm a pretty good drunken tailor...ahhhh, nuts.

Man this thread has inspired me to get back into jeepin and modding. Question for those who sprayed their wheels. That's my perfect solution and I'm doing it soon. What about the wheel weights during prep and spray? Do you just pull those off? Do I have to mark where they were? or do I just go get them rebalanced? I'm getting new tires within a month. (Not a cheap mod).

i made a dash cam for trail riding using my phone and a garmin gps mount and an app called Moto360 or Daily roads voyager.

My phone, an Evo, almost clipped right in when it had an Otter Box on, but I crisscrossed some small zip ties to hold it also. If your phone is to big you can cut off the upper clip part and use Velcro on the Garmin mount and Velcro on a cheap hard case for your phone.

The apps record in high def, with audio, and display speed, and even log gps cooridnates to view on a map.

Quality is as good as you phone can produce and the hard part is finding the GPS clip that best suits your phone size. but the hardest part of the suction cup and swivel clip mount is taken care of for you. Go Pro camera, with nicer features at the cost of a replacement clip!

^ I have the same phone, but ditched the otter box because it was too bulky. They have universal phone holders and i think evo specific ones on AndroidCentral. I kind of want to set something like this up, but unfortunately my Rom doesn't record in HD

I think one of those apps allows you do record straight to the SD card...in HD...I've only used the Moto360 though, still waiting to try the other.

My problem is the rom itself. For some reason Cyanogen Mod can't record in HD, HTC Sense can though. So if you're stock, you're golden.

I have the rustoleum bedliner and I love it! I just use a hose, some soap, and scrub it and I havent had any complaints. But the key to a good job is PREP!

All in the prep work. spend some time getting the paint that is down there scuffed up and the rustoleum bedliner will stick to it like white on rice. I did the inside tub of the Jeep with it and it is tough as nails with only a few good coats. Soap and water will clean it up nicely. best of luck to ya!

I used the spray in kind. There is a company called Alien Hide that you can make the liner any color you want. Should be able to get that kind of thing on ebay. If you intend to put paint on top of the bedliner... cant say how that will last, never tried it but I would GUESS that it would rub off in the high part of the liner and stay in the low part. Making the design look speckled with black. If you do this let us know cause I have often thought of making some designs on the floorboards. best of luck!
