i did bedliner and my friend did satin and both are holding up well just like you said a little scratches from lug nuts. bedliner is a little texted and kinda flat blackish which i love and fits me as a person, but the satin turned out nice and considering he washes his car ever other week it fits him.

Really? I'm not a huge backyard mechanic like most of the guys here, but when I get new tires next month, won't they pull the weights, rebalance after mounting and put new weights back on? Then I would have to spray the little areas again. Is that what your suggesting?

If you can remove them then do it. I did a friends rims in camo flat black and we painted over the wheel weights. This is exactly what happened. He got new tires they moved the weights and he had to repaint over them. You can still see the spot he had to repaint if you look close enough. I would mark the spot where the weights are then paint the wheels then put them back on if I had to do it again.

Remove the wheel weights and paint the bare spots. Then when you get the new tires balanced have them install the weights on the BACKSIDE of the wheel.

Paint is cheap and easy. A couple of playing cards, or index cards to keep the paint off the tire, and you're good to go

Looking to get some cheap mod ideas. I have my LEDs for my instrument cluster and doing some winch controls in my dash on my list already.

Also, cool to see I'm not the only one here into ROMing my phone! Epic 4G Touch running CM7

On a completely unrelated note, I think I'm about to do the gayest cheap/easy/fun/creative mod ever...a little back story: I put on a hurst t-handle shifter (a left-over from my old rust-bucket 4-Runner) and while it's nice, my nancy-boy hands get too cold in the winter with it (it's friggin metal, for gods sake), so I cut up an old "Brew Thru" beer cozy and this weekend I will put sewing machine to neoprene to make a shifter-handle cozy. I'll come hard with pics after the weekend. Frozen fingers crossed that this works.

I don't have a thunderbolt, but I have ran CM7 on several phones and CM is always my ROM of choice (I go through a lot of phones, although that has slowed down since now I have to pay for jeep mods)

You actually have to gain deeper access in the phone by using an eexploit most of the time since companies worry that malicious people will get "deep" access into peoples phones. Once you have root or "deep" access, you can replace the OS with a modified one with different features.

You couldn't pay me to switch from android to an iPhone. Android phones just do sooooo much more. But I do like my iPad 2.

Android vs iPhone? That's kind of off topic.

I'm a computer tech, we concider iPhone/iPad to be for those that are less tech savy. We recomend them to our users that are "problem users". Others we recomend Android, it's more powerful and very customizable.

Tan might look cool because your in the deserts and whatnot! But I can never disagree with a sweet green.

The way I look at it. I've had two iPhones over the last 5 years. My brothers gone through at least 7 androids in the last two years. The quality is just unmatched.

Not sure which Androids he had but I've had my Samsung Galaxy SII for a year and it eats the iPhone for breakfast. Both my brothers and several friends have iPhones and even though the iPhone is a great piece of kit the Galaxy is better. The quality of my handset is also superb - I have not had a single issue.
