I used the same Rust-Oleum spray bedliner on my hard top, fender flares, door handles, and bumpers. The stuff is great! I had to use a paint roller on the hard top to smooth out some patches, but I'm extremely happy with the results.

No prep on the top, but scuffed up all of the metal stuff and the flares before I sprayed those down.

I plan to do the same to my rims, but need to sand them down, first. Just need to find the time...

There is some truth to that, some.

You cannot compare the iPhone to the cheap Droids. Apples to apples, not oranges.
Do the research and spend the money on a good Droid and you won't have any issues. My first Droid was a Motorola Droid X, I replaced it with the Droid X2, not because anything was wrong with the first one (it's still in the closet just in case I lose my phone), I just wanted a faster phone..... it's an addiction that comes with being a tech junky. lol
I have dropped my X2 and seen it take hits that would cripple any iPhone. Just a few weeks ago I was walking the dog when he took off after a cat and jerked my phone out of my hand. I watched it fly through the air in a beautiful swan dive of an arch and hit the sidewalk about 8 feet from me..... turns out it was just fine. I told my girlfriend about it and she said "I drop mine all the time". She has an X2 too.

I personally find the iPhones to be a bit too fragile for my liking. I don't think they are "bad" phones, but they don't deliver the power that a Droid does. What they do offer is a simple to use, easy to understand OS. What I find a lot when I have users that complain about Droids is that they have all kinds of crazy crap running in the background, junk that clogs them up and slows them down and no idea as to how to use them. They are commonly the same people that have never cleared the cache on their browser or the ones that call me with "I can't print" and it turns out that they are out of paper.

As long as you don't buy cheap, do your homework and have a good understanding of technology, Droid rocks.

....and for this Jeep crowd, you CAN NOT beat the built in GPS system guys. That thing is spot on. I use it for Geo-caching and it can track you as you walk around a tree. Scary accurate.

What geocaching app do you use? I use Waze for driving and already have Locus which seems pretty powerful

Any pics, I was thinking about this stuff as well, or plasti-dip.

I have to agree, in my opinion android is better...I realize everyone will have different opinions but 3 facts remain the same: tons more free apps on android to play with...external storage...and interchangable batteries, if u want extended battery u can get it which I do LOL

I don't actually have any apps for it. The girlfriend gets the latitude/longitude from somewhere and directly inputs it into the GPS. She navigates, I drive. lol

It should be more fun now that we have the Jeep. It will allow us to go places we couldn't go before.

JuggaloShawn, I bought an extended battery for my X2 and I go at least two days, sometimes three without charging, and I am a heavy user. Love it.
...... tell me that you have an Axe Man sticker on your jeep. lol

There's only one way to find out. Take it all out and go for a ride.

Yesterday I installed my new Superwinch 8500# and mounting plate onto my stock bumper, if anyone has done this, they know they need to remove the valance covering the sway bar. Problem is you can't put it back on and now you have a gap, well with some left over aluminum trim from my windows, I made my own valance. A little rattle can flat black, a few zip ties and thats it...

Its a smitty built. So far i like it! and is holding up well. and i believe i had bought it for 150 off of amazon. this was a while back so the price may be a bit different now. who knows. you can also add two lights one on each side just by drilling a hole in the right spot. theres enough room. that was one thing i didnt like at first but then i noticed there was room. good bumper i think, it does not get in the way of the tire one bit. thus giving my more clearance for bigger rocks with out the bumper getting in the way.

and as far as bedlining my grill. i am changing my mind to bedlining the whole jeep, and then painting it a different color. either red, green tan and black camo style, od green or the same dark green it is now. who knows whats in store for this rig.
