I hope its not that hardcore. Seems like it should be pretty simple doing the wiring and everything. This is my first real work I've done to my Jeep, so I hope it isn't too bad. I'm pretty mechanically and technically inclined though.

I actually got the link on here looking for a wireless solution I had asked about in my intro thread

I'd upload pics of mine but the server wont let me. and I'll see what I can do to get the wiring diagram up. But go to page 15 of THIS thread blkrubi88 posted. I have the same thing he does. Ordered the tomahawk missile switch off eBay along with 2 momentary switches. Wire power through the tomahawk then line in and out to the other two. Flip power switch hold down a button for line in or out.

I got my idea from 12voltguy. Installed a toggle to activate power, top red momentary switch is for cable out and the bottom is for cable in. I don't much about electrical, so I had a friend of mine do all the wiring.

Finally finished my paracord handles!! It's cheap, fun, and creative... But not so easy. It took me about 7 hours to do these two handles. But all in all, it was very fun

How did you isolate the winch and solenoid from the battery...?
Or is the in cab switch only for the in/out controls, and the winch is permanently wired to the battery...

I've just installed mine... And still deciding on how to isolate it as I really don't want it always connected just encase something trips and the winch activates by it's self...

The winches are made to be hard wired to the battery at all times. While some ppl do do it differently...i did not. I do have a master "arm" switch like the 12voltguy kits so the in cab controls can't accidentaly control it. I did fuse and use a separate power source for the switches....not needed. Just preference and the kits I've made for others don't have that.

Mine looks just like that but my toggle switch has a red led. I'm trying to figure out how to post my wiring diagram. I have "reached my upload quota" and I don't know when it rolls over.

Well gentlemen, considering this is the thread that inspired me to make an account, i figured it would be a good place to make my first post.

A couple things i did to my Tj,

first, i didnt have the extra $200 to shell out for a sound bar/sound pods, so i made some sound pods myself out of some plywood i found laying around, completely for free.

Second, i took a broken nerff gun off my buddys hands, fixed it, made a mount, and put it on the top of my roll cage. Great if you have kids, or if your like me, and still pretty much a kid yourself.

ill post a couple pics once i figure out how to. Looks like you can't post them strait from the photo library on your computer

I'm going to still get the switches, but I did not get his wiring kit, I am doing that the cheap way.

anyone have any ideas for an armrest on the door? i have a '97. i wish there was a way i could "box out" the inner door panel where the lock is another inch or two just so i could have something to rest my elbow on while driving.

I hear they make armrests for that. I also hear that quadratec sells them but don't quote me on that
