I have the pick up style top for my 89 and I was getting like 6 inches of water puddling up back there. I used 1/2 inch pvc. Like it was said before just paint it and u wont even notice it is there. However u will notice it is a bit more quiet. I think it cost me like 10 for everything. Its not hard at all. Just make sure u take good measurements for a tight fit

I did this about a month ago, it works great! I used PVC, and painted it black after I was done test fitting it. Sorry, no pics with it painted, but you get the idea.
http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/what...ml#post1937437

But if you look at the last picture in this post: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/what...ml#post1947906
you'll see the PVC painted black.

Sure. $89
Orion XTR52 Component Systems at Onlinecarstereo.com

They screw right in. But you do have to drill a 2" hole for the tweeter, or surface mount it. I put a square of Dynamat in the pod above the speakers, stuck the crossover in the pod using that gray double stick tape (right over the light area) and stuffed in some poly fill. I still want to go back and make some sort of seal between the speaker and pod.

For the front dash I got these.

And one back from when I was just starting the project:

Used wood glue around the seems on the inside to seal it. Spray painted em black. Then i drilled a hole a little small for the screw Into the roll bar, and used screws with hex heads instead of Phillips to keep em from stripping. Very sturdy and solid, I'm happy with them.

Depends on what you call cheap, but I only paid around $45 for everything. Made my own door hangers. I like stuff being on the wall and off the floor.

those were the most expensive part of the whole deal. i bought them from amazon for $19.71 a pair with free shipping(you have to buy 2 sets). you could probably get some from a junkyard for cheaper but i figured that wasn't too bad on price. the hardware is just lag bolts from lowe's. the wood is 2x6 pressure treated that i had laying around. you don't have to have pressure treated, it's just what i had.

That's still not a bad deal considering your doors will not get destroyed, money well spent IMO

Ah I wish mine came with some. When I bought mine it had a head unit the still had the knob to tune the radio station. Old and junk. The only speakers were right behind the center console. Like $20 from walmart and I couldn't even hear them over the flowmaster I put on. Lol the front dash speakers weren't even hooked up and they were rotted out.

go for it. it gave mine a much more aggressive sound to it. i love it. it can get a little annoying when having a conversation but its typically just me in the jeep.

yup i sure am. its a flowmaster not a damn fart cannon that you see people put on there ricers. i get a heck of a lot better sound out of it than the stock exhaust i had. originally it was just going to be straight pipes but it was way too loud for the area im in. i would have been pulled over no questions asked. i also dont have a cat on it either.

Youre kidding me right? You didnt upgrade the exhaust on your rig?

I have magnaflow on mine and it sounds great I would have put flowmaster on it but i heard one with the magnaflow and it liked it immediately. I love loud exhaust but this one is just right not too loud where I cant hold a conversation but loud enough that people think I did an engine swap lol.
