I don't like tinting. I personally think it doesn't look good and everyone does it. But I wanted to do something different so I bed lined them and made them round.

came out nice, I do like the look of yours. I'm in the process of blacking out my jeep, so whether it's been a ton or not, it's the look I wanted. To each their own.

Poly Fill? Are youtalking about expanding foam?

I've always wondered why speakers boxes are stuffed. Seems to me that it would hurt the sound but what do I know? I may have to try it. I may try the feather route.

Not the foam, just like pillow stuffing. It makes the speaker not resonate in the box, giving it more accurate sound with less groaning.

and I just got a brake tag inspection Friday. The inspection in Kenner, LA is the toughest in the state, and he didn't have a problem with it so I don't think the cops will complain. Considering that most cops in our area will openly tell you that Kenner is ridiculous with their inspection regulations, I think I am good.

This stuff.

the idea is that it slows down the movement of the sound waves/air inside of the box. This makes the speaker act as if it is in a bigger enclosure than it truly is. By slowing down the sound wave it also helps reduce the amount of vibration or flex that the walls of the enclosure would normally suffer. This helps the speakers to put out a more true sound production as you don't have the sound that would be produced by the wall vibration.
I poly filled my pods as well as added a square of Dynamat right above the speaker in the pod. For my 5.25" that I have in the front dash I put foam baffles behind the speaker, cut a 2x2" vent hole on the bottom side of the baffles and stuffed them with poly fill..... sounds great.

Are you a cop or do you just enjoy being rude? Or is it both?

I guess once a topic has been touched by the all mighty wwch99tj it is no open to any input.

WARNING! wwch99tj has spoken of poly-fill as well so everyone just leave that topic to die.

Please stay on topic. I really enjoy this thread. I don't want to see it get closed. If you are not sure if it is ok ask your local police dept. If they say ok then do it. If its not ok don't do it. You both could be right. Just ask your local police dept if you are not sure. Thanks
