yea just a fuse connected inline between the fusebox and the switch, closer to the fuse box incase theres a problem the fuse will pop.

(2) 1/4" wide hose clamps
(2) pieces of shim stock (very thin metal)

Push your door pin in and measure the distance (Don't be too accurate) and cut and bend your metal like so....

Tighten the hose clamp just enough to go around the door pin body with enough room to slide the metal over the pin and under the clamp, press-hold and tighten it up!!!

Now if you are worried about scuffing the paint, grab some electrical tape and wrap it tight.... DONE!!!!

Took all of 10 minutes!!!!
But removing the fuse is so much simpler? And looks 1738482 tines better because there isn't anything at all. Anywhere

First I modified a few spade terminals to make them the size of the fuse ends. you can see in the picture how they looked before and after I modified them. They may need a little work to fit properly but Im at my desk and its really dark outside atm lol.

Second I crimped them onto the wires and connected it to a simple on off switch. This switch has the ability to light up (which I dont want) thats what the extra terminal on the bottom of the switch is for.

Next I will replace the fuse marked door/dome (bottom row, last fuse on the right on my TJ) With the modified spade terminals. Make sure these terminals dont touch each other or the dome lights will stay on. And now POOF! on off switch for your dome light.

P.S. If it makes you feel safer place a fuse on the "hot" wire from the fuse box. This is the side that tests power when the fuse is removed, I will be doing this but I dont have another fuse right now.

Enjoy!
Idk why you did this if you spin the headlight plunger you turn on and off the done light And that's with or without the fuse in...?

CB mounted to the roll bar with some big hose clamps:

This puts the speaker near your ears so you can hear it. Easy to adjust while driving... can even use the rear-view mirror to select channels

Side mirrors I made from a 6" bolt, a muffler clamp, a cushioned clamp, and a $7 Pep Boys mirror. I welded the bolt head to the muffler clamp bracket.

You know your headlight plunger right? The thing you pull for lights to come on. If you spin it left the interior lights turn on. Even with the fuse for the doors out. So you don't have to modify anything or make special switches to still allow you to use your dome light in the case of no doors.

Bought a piece of gutter guard from Lowe's, removed the chrome grill insert and traced out the pattern, cut them out and zipped tied them to the insert and popped them back in the grill.
