Pretty much, yep. But some nail polish removers contain oils, fragrance and coloring... better to go to the hardware store and buy regular acetone. It's cheap.

Well I still have nice carpet, but after I ruin that with mud and such and decide to take it out that's on my list as well. (I have a huge list)

I replaced mine with Orions... you should still have these on either end of the dash right inside the doors.

Those both look great! I may have to steal the red! Lol. My jeep is all black right now other than a red hi Jack handle and red front d rings. Im a firefighter and have red emergency lights around it also. I think the black and red will look good! What kind of prep work needs to be done? Just the norm cleaning, sanding etc.?

Why did they ever make a black jeep with spice interior?

I tried dying mine using RIT... waste of time.

I'm thinking of trying this.

Google search "daveysjeeps" he parts out jeeps and sells the parts. Maybe a little expensive, but not too bad if you really need the part. He has a list of stuff he has for sure, and you can email him if you want something that isn't listed and he can look for one.

I ripped out all my roll bar covers, I like the yellow better than the faded black (or purple) anyways. There is a dye that comes in an aresol can that you can purchase from an auto body supply warehouse that works on fabric, I think its called SEM, thats what I would use if I were going to dye the roll bar covers. I think there is a product that you can get from an auto parts store but not sure of the quality.

I considered using RIT dye on mine, but I went with duplicolor vinyl and fabric coating. It did the job, but took several coats because the material really sucks up the paint.

Get these. Hand made of paracord and they have a break strength of like 500+ lbs. He can do all sorts of colors and they are strong enough to hang from.

I ordered me a pair and he is making me a dog collar for my pup to match.

Thank you. Shoot me a PM if you like. We can discuss painting interior in more depth.
This is what my mirrors look like after being repainted with Duplicolor Bumper trim.

Stuff works pretty good on some interiors pieces too. PM me, I have pics of it on my old Ranger. I don't want to take a whole page or two of this thread with pics of my paint projects. lol

Yeah, I ordered a set from him, but this is something I plan on learning how to do.
Those paracord handles are like 100X stronger than the Ebay handles. I broke the 2 month old Ebay handle just tightening the Velcro strap.
