I know most of you don't like stock Wranglers, but after a recent spark plug replacement and the existing K&N air filter, I'm averaging about 17mpg. Did some hwy miles over the Easter weekend and it appears to be about 20mpg. And that was with the windows out, top up. Oh yeah - 4.0L with 6spd manual. Of course, I can't climb rocks and swamp and mud the way you guys can...I guess it's one or the other...

and I ran out of time, light and warmth so I brought my grill inside to dry...

It was one piece that I cut into 7 pieces... I used Zip ties and the zip tie connecters with the adhesive on the back...

And the after pictures will be up tomorrow when there is more light... I still haven't put the grill back on (It's in the same place in the house as that last pic) so when I put it back on, I'll try and shine some light on it and post a pic.

I would love to know what you used and how you did it. I have been looking to do just this for a while and 8$ is better then the price of the kit. Would have been great for my last climb.

I've heard really bad reviews on the wireless warn lights, so how are they holding up?

the speaker you guys see is the speaker made for the cb radio, due to where i have my cb mounted, i cant hear, and since i had the speaker at the time of the install thats why i decided to put it where its at, but the speaker fits perfectly, basiclly all i did was cut out all the useless crap in there that holds the ash tray and what not, if you like i can take pictures of exactly whats there and whats not there

, lets see, your gunna need the lever first off. I got lucky with mine, the guy that owns the shop just so happen to have an older one that doesnt have the click, and its its super strong and doesnt move on its own, so with that being said i get whatever RPM i want and it stays for as long as i want, the ones that click persay because they have 7 different gears will only give you 7 different idles. idk if that makes since to ya or not. so once you have the lever everything else is easy, just get enough cable, cable sleeve and run it from the lever to the throttle body, mine had two holes, one for the pedal, one for cruise control, i drilled another hole for the hand throttle to where it would touch or tangle with the other two. the reason you need the hole is so you can put in a stopper, the stopper is what allows the cable to be pulled instead of the entire assembly, ill try and take some pics for you.

first is the hand throttle, i callled numerous bike shops before i found the older style, but here it is, simply clamps onto the stick

next you route the cable however you want, i put mine in the sleeve, sometimes it gets got in certain positions and cause the rpms to go up, doesnt happen very often but it happens, part of the reason with that for me is because mine isnt clamped very hard due to the clamp being to big.
I drilled my whole right there in between and underneath the two stock cables.

notice the housing stops right there, i used simple bike parts for that as well, the last part is just what it looks like, i put one of them electrical thingys on there (what the heck are those called) and you want to make sure you get the proper length to where the cable isnt drooping to where you use up all of the lever pull or too tight to where it constantly idles, once you find the good spot, simple crimp it on there, I took off the stock cable and slid the hand throttle cable on there then put the stock cable over, this keeps them in line, and also keeps mine from falling off.

and thats it. pretty simple, i got bored one day and didnt have anything to do.
