They've also proved on myth busters that drafting can give you a huge mpg boost

Most people dont have d-rings or there mounts. And personally I hate d-rings.

Through a long haul from northern MD down to NC, I exclusively rode behind semis, and made it up to a whopping 20 mpg. Not bad, seeing as how I usually average about 16.5, so it really does help!

You'll have to get some longer (grade 8) bolts for them.

I didn't have D-rings, I like the look of D-rings, but hooks just seemed easier.

Cool, and thanks. That reminds me that I need to upload Iron Maiden and Judas Priest to my Google music account.

Not sure, if it did I didn't use them.

Basically, pull the bottom right fuse from the fuse panel behind the glove box, plug the small leads on one end of the wire into the spot where the fuse was. Connect the female spade connectors on the other end to the back of the switch. Remove the screw under the dash that is right on the edge by the door and position the switch, put screw back in.
It even already had a 10 amp fuse in it.

I swear, I installed it in like 2 minutes. Easiest thing I have done on the Jeep so far.

Anybody know what page the CB antenna on the spare tire carrier is on? I've been looking for what seems like forever and I can't find it. I'm pretty sure it's in this thread.

Im not sure what the page is but any one of us can help you! do you have a stock spare tire carrier, if soo you could easily drill a hole anywhere you wanted, get the spring mount or any other typ mount from a cb store and botta bam. when i had my stock carrier there was already a hole there so i just used that. if you have an after market swing out carrier, you can easily weld on a simple rectangular ish tab. would cost much at all or you could do it your self if you had the tools.

Yeah I have a stock carrier. I just plan on drilling a hole for the antenna but my main concern was how do I fish the wire through the tailgate using the holes that are already there for the 3rd brakel light

i mounted mine on the top when i had my stock carier, and i just put the cable in between the tailgate and rear window, there is a cushion seal thing, and the cable is small enough to where the door closed fine and the cable didnt get ruined. now that mine is mounted towards the bottom of my swing out i just have the cord going undernieth the tailgate.... is this the right way of doing it? heck idk, but it works and i can make radio contact if need be lol

That's what I did to. But I drilled mine too close to the spare tire and had to use a tennis ball to keep it from rubbing the cover.

so far the are simple to adapt, just like any other light, just two male ends that plug in, i just need new terminals for my existing wires. the nice thing about these is that i dont have to screw on my grounding cable, my last set was like that and it was a pain. these also come with covers and fit quite well, have bushings for the mounting, and they are all metal. not plastic shit. sooo so far im pretty satisfied. especially at 16 bucks a pop. cant beat it. and i honestly dont care if they arent the brightest. some lights better than none.

How many watts are they and what bulb do they use? If they use H3 then you can buy 100w bulbs for them. Since they are all metal then you should be ok with a higher wattage bulb in there.

I was piling the fuse, but I would sometimes drop the glove box door and it's contents on the floor. For $15, I'm happy.
