Cheap Harley Davidson rear passenger footpegs, (mine were spares, but they're cheap on ebay) and $1.34 of Lowe's hardware. Now cruisin' w/ the doors off is even more cool and comfy. unk:
Dunno what you mean by foldable. They're stock Dyna/Sportster rear footpegs. Now, they can rotate in and out, but I have them locked down pretty tight so to fight the urge to rock the peg forwards and back and eventually loosen it up.
I thought about that, but do they make them as big around as my bolts are? I've only seen them for smaller bolts. (?) Anywho, I stuck w/ this since my doors are basically off until November anyways.
thats funny because I was driving today with my foot out the door resting on the slider and was thinking about some sort of foot mount or peg and then I see your mod. Ill be stopping at the Harley dealer tomorrow to grab a pair. Good write up.
I loved the idea so I went on eBay bought 2 pegs for 6.45$ (plus shipping) and I can't wait until the weather is nice again! The pegs look just like yours too!
someone on here did this last summer or the one before with fold up pegs. I think its a super cool mod. wish I could have done it on mine before I got rid of it cause I never had the doors on in the summer.
A peg gifted to me to figure out how to put it on my heep. Think it is a Harley Peg but I'm not sure. It is a little big to fit into the door hinge I think.
i made my peg out of stuff that was just laying around the shop on friday. i used a lance handle from a pressure washer wand, a 3.5" shoulder bolt, 3 flat washers, a lock washer, and a nut. total cost $0. if these things are not just laying around then the total cost would be about $7.
I had a set or bicycle pegs and all thread until I made my tube doors
