Check engine light?

Had Jeep on the computer--first told gas cap pressure, this time oxygen sensors; do sensors have to be replaced often? Seems if I let the Jeep idle too long the light will come on-wondered if others have this problem?

Define often? If you have had to replace an O2 sensor twice yes if just once you are probably fine. Also how many miles does it have on it?
Most sensors are good for 70-100k I'd think and of course there are some outliers giving more or less

75,000 miles and I just had to replace almost all of them, even the one on the power steering.
Sure improved my fuel mileage.

108,000 miles-I replaced one sensor about three months ago about $23.00; have been told there are two. As I'm new to Jeep and a female with no mechanics training they could tell me anything.
One friend told me he didn't know the light should go off as his stays on constantly. I want to take care of any problem and get the check light off.
Thanks for any suggestion.

Guess the computer is correct-just want to get everything taken care of at one time. Sure enjoy the ride, just don't want too many disappointments..... First used vehicle I have bought...maybe should have saved up for a new Jeep. Bought the Jeep for my toy & fun and to save miles on the main SUV.

At 108K A few sensors or parts would not be a surprise.
I am sure you'll be fine even with no mech backround, just post up your problem and somebody will have an answer for you.
And I think you made the right choice with the TJ although I am a bit bias
