Cherokee Engine & parts to Wrangler TJ .

i have jeep wrangler 2001 V6 (sport 4.0) , the engine got fair , and burned all the front engine with everything , even the tiers , the problem that i am in Qatar, where jeep wrangler have less then a jeep Cherokee , my question , that can i install the Cherokee engine and the other part to my wronger because its cheaper then wrangler and its easily available the complete car for less then if i buy part wise , , and what engine will be work , please guide me , thanks ,

Please help me , as i need to know before buy 2nd hand jeep Cherokee for my Wrangler 2001 to replace the burned part into my wrangler , .

I would think as long as ifs a 4.0, most parts will be interchangeable.

Agreed. BTW, They did not put a V6 in a 2001 Jeep, it is an I6

i am not that good in American cars , Here in Middle east mostly vehicles are Japan's , , but its V6 , its clearly mention that its 6 cylinders ,
and if u can see the engine is burned ,, so u can't get any idea which engine is it .

Your picture looks like what is left of a straight 6 4.0L.

If this is so, then a 4.0L Cherokee engine is the same. You may need to change some electrical connections but I'm guessing your electrics are fried anyway.

Dude yes it is a 6 cylinder but it is not a V6, its an I6. Hey no biggie, just trying to clear that up for you.

The engine in the wrangler is obviously bad. I would assume. The 4.0 engine in the Cherokee is the exact same engine as the one in the wrangler. I think you would want to swap over most of the computer stuff as well though I assume it is burnt up.

Are you sure the engine is bad. That's a cast iron block. I don't see any melted metal. Internally it might be OK. Just replace all the externals, like wiring, coil packs, hoses, alternator, new fluids.

Before doing the swap have it checked.

i already give my wrangler at Jeep company here local in Qatar, they told me , that it will take 10 days that how much it will cost me , so tel then i am waiting for them ,
