obnoxious, don't sound cool. maybe when you're 16, but they don't sound good on anything. nice little rumble, not falsely resonated and amplified, thats what sounds good.

little louder than stock, with a low rumble, just enough to make people think, hmm, wonder what he's got.

just my opinion

Too loud for my taste. Then again I am the guy with a 4.0L with no exhaust right now, sounds like a 350 that needs tuned.

Glasspacks/cherrybomb glass packs can be picked up at your local VatoZone for $20 bones. Just pick one up and slap it on.

From exsperance the sound is loud yes, but it is raspy and the tend to promote backfiring through the exshaust. Sounds more like an import car than mean.

A buddy of mine runs a SkyJacker Long Arm lift, which means he needed to modify the exhaust. He let his mechanic talk him into running a true dual exhaust with cherry bombs. The guy ran the pipes just under the rockers. Sounds like Grade-A ASS. They're so loud you can't talk on the phone inside the Jeep, even with the hardtop on/doors,windows shut. It's F***ING stupid. I can't stand to even ride in his Jeep. It would be different if it had a deeper rumble like that of a healthy V8, but it's the 4.0L and sounds like $h!t with the Cherrybombs. Don't make the same mistake he made when he let someone else talk him into going that route. Get a Flowmaster or equivalent, you'll be happier in the end......

when i went long arm i had to chop the exhaust off at the TC skid, i drove it that way for 2 weeks before i had a muffler shop make me a new tailpipe, it was only 30 bucks more to have them install a cherry bomb so i had them do it.

my advise, dont do it.
it sounds good from the cab, not too loud(though i normally drive my 94 p7100 mechanically injected cummins 12 valve(read LOUD) diesel) but when im next to another car or wall, anything that reflects sound.... it sounds like SH!T.
i had flowmaster 40 from the previous owner on there before, sounded good but quiet, very minor misfiring but no big deal. the cherry bomb makes it misfire like hell. i usually coast down hills in neutral now it sounds so bad,
cherry bomb= you get what you pay for

We had a CherryBomb glasspack on my sister's ZJ (4.0L) and it sounded nice, but was way too loud. At highway speeds it was just too damn much. Bought a Flowmaster and made it better... until the motor blew up.

the cherry bomb vortex muffler gives you a nice low sound
its a little milder then the normal streight through cherry bomb that everyone thinks of

you can get the chamber cherry bomb muffler sounds like the flow master at half the cost

Yes on the MUFFLER type cherry bomb sounding good. I can vouch for that.
But the GLASSPACK muffler sounds horrible.

i was always told any cherry bomb on anything other than a V8 just doesn't sound right...but since im gonna keep my jeep for a long time...i think im just gonna go with a cat-back if not a complete exhaust system...not sure which brand/type to use yet though.
