It's your Jeep, so go with what you like. Personally I think black rims are fugly.

Personally never been a fan of a full chrome wheel...not enough contrast. I love the wheels of the 60's with chrome trim rings and plenty of accents, but not full on chrome.

As for black, its very much so a cliche at this point...though that takes nothing away from the fact it DOES look good.

Personally I like a natural aluminum finish...

Whatever you want...you're the one who has to look at it every day.

Go for aluminum, less hassle that way. After a while with chrome you'll just be spending all your time chasing rusts spots with steel wool, especially if you live in a state that gets a lot of snow and salted roads.

2 kinds of people have chrome... my great grandfather and people that buy chrome emblems at walmart to make their vehicles look even uglier

to quote my Sergeant (referring to rank) "BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL, you understand me?!"

The only problem with polished aluminum wheels is the upkeep.... Painted wheels are much more forgiving of mud/rocks/trees, etc... Polished sure is pretty tho' Chrome belongs on a sports car, IMO....

I am getting my black rims next week. The chrome ones look hideous to me. Of course, it is a matter of personal preference.

Cragar Soft 8's look good, and are cheap. Also, they are made in the U.S.A.

I prefer black just because it's generally cheaper.

Ah, Yeah, I'm not a fan of chrome on anything...that's just me personally. I went with the black on the jeep. Polished on the Honda.

Yeah, yeah yeah, I know, I was into the sport compact thing a few years back, put too much money into that thing to sell it. Just collecting dust in the garage until I decide to do something with it.

If tires were made of shiney steel or alloy, I'd say go black. But since rubber tires are black, I'd say spice it up a bit. I went chrome & love em. Also like the looks of the brushed alluminum wheels or alloys with some black on them.

But all black wheels mounted on all black tires just look plain to me.

I think they both look good. I've always liked polished aluminum, until I started looking at black wheels. I recently bought black aluminum wheels for my Jeep.

To me, black rims are like Flowmaster mufflers. They are awesome, but everyone and their brother has them now days. If you don't mind not standing out, they're a great choice and look great. I'm not saying go full on chrome, but there are other options. I for one like a unique jeep the best.

I have a black Jeep and wanted a little bit of contrast. So I actually went with those same MT Classic Locks and really like the way they look. I think black is cool but the aluminum is just a little more classic looking and wont go out of style IMO. This will give you a feel for those rims on a darker vehicle.
