cleaning cold air intake?

I have a Airaid cold air intake system and the intake needs to be cleaned. Before I had a K&N high performance filter that goes in place of the stock filter. Well when i had the K&N, i bought the cleaning kit for it and I was wondering if i followed the steps in the cleaning kit if it would also work for the Airaid intake? or do i need to get the one that comes from Airaid?

i've used K&N cleaner/oil on an Airaid filter before....i can't see why not?
Be sure to use oil sparingly just enough to cover evenly on the filter and let it dry in the sun thoroughly before you put it back.

Yeah, the K&N cleaning kit will work fine. I used the same kit to clean my afe cold air intake filter and had no problems at all.
