Cleaning the inside

Okay, don't flame me because I want to clean my jeep

We are in the midst of cleaning up from the flooding in Binghamton, NY and for the past few days I've had the top off. The area is covered in dirt and dust and everything has a layer of it.

I don't need or even want a showroom shine, but I don't want to use something that will ruin the dash and rubber parts.

Any suggestions?

If the interior is dry, try vacuuming the entire interior with your hose and the attachments to suck up as much of the dust, dirt and debris as you can. Then use a sponge or a rag and a bucket of mild soapy water to wipe down and mop up the rest.
For the upholstery, maybe try one of those carpet cleaning rental machines with the hose attachment. Personally, I'd just get new seat covers and call it a day...

GL with your clean up.

Pull out the carpet, and floor plugs, hit it with a hose and brush, park it in the sun and let it dry. Hose and brush on the seats or the carpet machine mentioned above will do wonders on them. Bucket and rags for everything else. The vents can be popped out and washed in a bucket or the dishwasher, and vacuum or use the leafblower to blow out as much as possible....

Yep, and don't go wild on the steering column. If you get the SIR coil wet it can lead to all kinds of gremlins.
