clutch?

when i bought my jeep the only thing that was wrong was the clutch (or just the throw out barring) grinds a little when its released. Gonna replace it soon and was wondering which clutch ya'll recommend for wheeling? i mostly go through mud, water and sand. my jeep has a 4.0 and a 5 speed

For $159 from Dial-A-Clutch - Your LuK Clutch Kit Specialist you get the entire kit which includes the clutch disk, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and pilot shaft. That is for the Luk clutch kit which can't be beat for quality or longevity. It'll easily last over 200K miles without too much abuse. In fact, Luk is the clutch brand the factory installs. This is the kit I installed onto my previous TJ and I had it 2-3 days after ordering it, they are fast to ship. Ignore Luk's Gold kit which is meant more for trucks and is not the best choice for your TJ.

That's the factory clutch which is the best quality clutch you're going to find. If the water is clean, any clutch will do fine but NO clutch will be ok if you step on the clutch pedal while it is immersed in muddy water. If you do that, mud will flow in between the clutch disk, pressure plate, and flywheel. Never step on the clutch pedal if you're in deep mud... you'll be sorry.
