99 Jeep TJ Sport 5spd
Last week I took the cowl off and cleaned out the drain tube which drains right over top of the bell housing. I ran water through it and got all the junk out of it, once I got it back together and went to move the jeep into the garage, the clutch was jumpy and not smooth. I went down the driveway doing a few shifts and starting and stopping so the clutch was doing a little friction and after all that it was back to being smooth. The next weekend I went to the lake and ended up driving it into the lake, I drove into and out slow, no splash, but the clutch was jumpy again (I drove about deep enough to the bottom of the skid plate, maybe a little more) , went out and shifted a few times and let the clutch friction a little bit and it's back to normal. Now sometimes after it rains, it does the same thing. Is this a normal thing? I'm guessing the clutch is getting a little moisture in it?
