Clutch Noise

So let's get the facts out of the way;
2005 TJ 4.0 6M
73XXX miles
Clutch and pressure plate replaced at ~60,000 miles, flywheel resurfaced (incident on beach with a bunch of old ladies in a Subaru Forester)

Starting today, on my drive home from work, there is a noise whenever I push the clutch pedal in. It started with the clutch pedal dropping to the floor (at a stop sign on an uphill of course). I pumped it a couple times and it came back to life. Now, whenever I push it in (any and all distances), it makes a whining/whirring sound. It feels a tiny bit softer but that could be in my head. Other than that it drives fine (I babied it home and it will sit in front of my apartment until Monday when I will head to the mechanic (the same one that fixed the clutch (very very trusted independent mechanic)))

Sounds like your throwout bearing is going out.

Awesome. Nothing like a couple hundred dollars to the mechanic yet again

You know I was reading your post on the fly (at work on phone) & typically if you hear a grinding/howl noise when pressing the clutch it's a sign your Throwout bearing is going out. However, you mentioned your clutch went all the way to the floor & it feels soft. That'll be your slave cylinder. It could be a combination of the two.

I will bring that up when I drop the Jeep off with the mechanic
