I was getting off the hiway and whent to push in the clutch and at half way I felt something break loose like a busted brake line. I looked and didn't see any leaks and didn't lose any fluid. but now have no clutch. It is a 98 tj 4 banger with 68k on it. Thanks for anyhelp
This happened to me a while back. I was driving in stop and go traffic, hit the clutch one time and it went to the floor. No resistance at all. Got under the driver side dash and the linkage had come disconnected. There's a c-clip or some sort of clip that connects the arm on the clutch pedal to another arm that goes through the firewall, the clip had popped off. Put a new clip on and the problem was fixed. I'm not sure of all the technical names of those "clutch arms and parts", but I think you got an idea of what I'm talking about. Hope this helps.
