Clutch Problem

First I love my new used 2008 TJ.
BUT...The previous owner installed a high performance clutch and the clutch master cylinder won't handle it. It blew the seals (thankfully right in front of the house). I'm thinking the best solution is to pull the tranny and swap the clutch plate, pressure plate and bearing for the stock version then replace the master cylinder at the same time. It's not a big job since I have all the tools and a lift.
I really don't see a need for the monster clutch. It's a bear on the left leg to go through traffic. Off roading would be no fun.
Just in case, does anyone know of a high performance master cylinder?

Just go for the OE clutch which is made by Luk. For $159 from Dial-A-Clutch - Your LuK Clutch Kit Specialist you get everything needed... Luk clutch disk, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and pilot shaft. No need for anything bigger than the OE master/slave clutch system either. My previous TJ's Luk clutch and factory master/slave heldup admirably to some very tough use on many very tough trails. At 161K miles when I replaced the clutch on my last TJ as a preemptive strike against it going out on a very tough upcoming trail (Sledgehammer in Johnson Valley), it still had plenty of life on it and I have no doubt it would have lasted past 200K miles.
Remember that having a different opinion doesn't also require one to be a jerk when expressing it.

When you have a choice, buy American.
