Code 0073 replaced sensor, check light back

ive had the check engine come on the last few weeks, and i did the key dance to get the code. comes up 0073 ambiant air temp sensor. i ordered one, changed it, left the battery cable off for 30min and reconnected and code was gone. jeep ran great, gas mileage improved back to normal and it lasted about a 10 days. check engine light came back on yesterday and its the same code again and mileage crappy again. could it be i got a bad sensor from advanced auto parts? they have a limited warranty, should i take it back and get another and see how that goes. i reset the the computer yesterday and it lasted about 4 restarts and came back so definately having a problem. the wiring hasnt been touched, all i did was undo the one screw, change the sensor and put it back into place. wiring isnt even accessable, there just enough room for my had and a gear wrench to change it. jeep is an 06 with 4.0 and 76k miles

figured id post what the final outcome of this was. took it to a mechanic. he found the wiring for that sensor getting wet up front by the pcm and battery. causes an intermittent check engine light. never would have figured this one out on my own.
