Code Problem - P1294

Idle speed. I changed out the IAC and I am still getting the code. It is a 98 TJ with a 2.5L. I am not getting bad gas mileage or anything just want to fix this code before I sell it. Any ideas? I looked around for a vacuum leak but got nothing.

I have a 97 with the 2.5L and just got the same code. I'm pretty sure it's my MAP sensor ( I have one on order) because it has been making a whining noise, like it's got a pinhole in it and air is leaking. I've been going a couple weeks with it doing that until I figured out what it was so I ordered that. Today it threw the code, so i'm thinking it's the map sensor, i'll let you know when it comes in.

I see P1296 and P1297 relate to MAP. To fix a P1294, there must not be a MAP sensor code or a throttle position sensor trouble code according to the service manual.

I would get a volt meter and check Sensor Resistance (Ohms) of map sensor and wiring to it before replaceing anything. Save you some $$$...
