Code reader

Im Looking to get a code reader for a 03 Tj , what is the best or most preferred one, brand . I noticed they range from $20-$200 ,

No need for a code reader for your '03, it can read and display its own codes. Simply turn the ignition key on-off-on three times within five seconds, leave it in the On position, then sit back and wait. Several seconds later, you'll see any stored DTC codes start displaying in your odometer.

That technique works for all years with the exception of '98 through 2000.

of all the ones i got I like the autolink al309 the best. Small, easy to use, live data.

If you have a smart phone, ie Droid or iPhone, get a Bluetooth obdi dongle and the 4$ Torque app. Instant readings, fault codes, ability to clear codes and a ton of other whizz-bang features
