Cold air intake?

I talked to my local Jeep dealer and they said it was ok to use a cold air intake and a cat-back exhaust. I've also seen some sort of spacer for the intake as well.

If anyone has the time, which brands do you recommend? I was looking at www.framboost.com and a few others at quadratec.com, I just want an easier breathing 4.0 with a bit better mileage. (though I'm not expecting miracles, obviously)

As always, THANK YOU for your time and help...

Best regards-

Nick

Glad they ok'd it cuz i've already put on a flowmaster muffler with a 3 inch tip (stock tubing and pipes) without checking if it was ok with them lol...k&n, aem brute force, air raid, fram, and volant...there all good air intakes...and as far as cat back exhuast...dynomax, borla, banks power, and flowmaster are all very good too...and the spacer your talking about is probably an air raid throttle body spacer which is also very good...hope this helps

I am looking at a AIRAID Cold Air Dam Intake for my jeep. It says Ill get an extra 11 horsepower. First, will I notice only 11 horsepower and second, are these worth the 250 bucks?

Thank you, BigJeep

That gives me some sources to consider. I'll let you know how it all goes when I get it done.

This can quickly become a religious debate, but here's my $.02.
I don't know about all the HP and milage claims these companies make, but I've been running a K&N filter for 2 years and this is what I can say I've noticed - a definite increase in throttle response, especially at low throttle, like pulling out from a stop, or most off-road situations.
More HP? Who knows?
Better milage? I get 16-18mpg consistantly.
Is it worth $250? No way.
Buy a K&N for around $40 and then get a Rusty's air tube for $30.
Clean the filter 2-3x / year and you'll be fine.

Im runnin the Airraid CAI and the Poweraid throttle body spacer on mine, its a hell of a power difference on low end, and the mpg increase is really good as long as you can stay out of the gas. The CAI was like 200 and the TBI spacer like 69. I cut my cat out and put on a flowmaster super 40 series and it sounds awesome. All this paired with the Hypertech power programmer makes some serious grunt over stock.
