Color options for Black Wrangler

Hey everyone, I have a 97 Sahara that's all stock. The only thing I did to it was paint the headlight bezels black because they were the only thing chrome on the Jeep and they looked out of place. I was wondering what other people do with black Jeeps as far as adding some color to them. It seems like everyone with a black Jeep goes for blacking out everything else which does look cool, but I love the Jeeps that have contrasting colors like: Red Jeep with black accents (headlight bezels, mirrors, door hinges etc). Or blue with black etc...It just makes everything POP on the Jeep, looks great.

I see a lot of white Jeeps that do black accents and it too looks great (including black pasti-dipped rims) but I don't think white accents on a black Jeep would cut it. I've been searching google for black wranglers but they are pretty much all blacked out with no color. Does anybody have some pics of black Jeeps with contrasting colors? I also have a tan soft top and love the way it looks in the summer, so I was thinking maybe doing tan accents for a black and tan look but just cant picture it. Of course open to other ideas as well.

This is mine current as is:

Black has a ton of options in my opinion, because anything can look good with it. You could pick your favorite color and go to town. I think red would look cool with it. Red headlight bezels, seats, accent lighting. Endless possibilities.

I think your idea of some tan on it would look good...but then I may be prejudiced.

Exactly why I was thinking tan! Tan Jeeps with black accents look amazing, but I cant picture how that would look inverted with mostly black. Yellow is a great idea too, but you have to be careful about overdoing it.

If you enlarge my pic, you will see that I painted the shackles on the rear black bumper tan....that might kind of give you an idea of what it would look like.

Black is the perfect to accent black. SO take some plasti-dip to those wheels they are too bright. You can probably go ahead and plasti-dip the stickers on the side those are a little too bright. Your license plate is way to bright so you need to get one of those tinted screens that lets you get out of red light and speeding cameras. There's also something you can smoke out the signal lights with. Yep that will accent it perfectly.

I always wanted to have a black vehicle with a great big wide YELLOW truck tire path going across it. Was going to buy some of the 24" plastic sign film, cut it out and make this humongous decal going from the front driver's side across to the rear passenger side.

BIG tire tracks, like a tractor..... <G>
I've seen footprints done like that , but not a tire mark... tan would look cool too, like dirt.

Y'all stay warm and pray for spring. And rain..lots of rain out west ....

I think your 97 Sahara looks great just the way it is, no need to accent anything. You already have a contrasting tan interior.

I've always liked any vehicle in the black over tan color combo, looks great on anything and you have that already. You could add a little more tan by painting your hardtop tan.

Yeah I love the tan top and looking forward to swapping to my tan soft top in the summer. Like you suggested, I've been looking into painting the hard top tan. Just have to wait until warmer weather and figure how I'm going to spray it.

Love those half doors with the tan uppers! I would love to get a setup like that and have to keep my eyes peeled for some used half doors and upper sliders like that

Thanks, they're not cheap but I like them so much better than the standard uppers.

I'm with wwch99tj, I like a little shiny on my Jeep.
I also have a shiny fuel door, chrome head light bezels, chrome grille inserts, black wheels with a machined simulated bead locks and a big bare aluminum hood louver.

I went black and silver. My avatar pic is bigger in garage. Clear turn signals. Stainless windshield hinges. Grey shock boots. Platinum smoke in pro car led tail lights. I like it good contrast almost like black and white. Like the jeep in above post. Apologize can't see names on phone app as I type.

Go with the tan. It looks great. As soon as I take my hardtop off for the summer I'm going to paint it tan.
