Just a short rant. In the market for adjustable control arms. Went to Metalcloak's site and was impressed by arms and the reviews. And on 3 to 5 days before they are shipped. SOLD. Dropped $555.00 with the plans to drop another $550 for the other end. This gives me plenty of time to get ready for the Memorial Day weekend.

Not so fast. Once you call metalcloak you will learn it will be 2 to 3 weeks before they are made and another week to ship.

Metalcloak it doesnt take much to put a notice on your website giving updated shipping dates. Wasted my time with you today.

Order cancelled and taking my $$$ somewhere else.

FWIW it's not terribly uncommon...not saying I like it or think it's the best practice...but it's not uncommon. I've learned it's best (for your own sanity) to call these offroad companies and ask what the current lead time is before ordering....They are busy places and usually small businesses.

The quality is worth the wait IMHO.

:popcorn::popcorn:Decided to call and speak to a manager to vent some. Im self employed. If one of my guys is being rude to customers I need to know. Spoke with Will the manager. Completely different attitude. Pretty much how can we help. Also said he thinks he knows who I spoke with originally. Says he will call me back in a few minutes to give me firm date on when they can get them out.

Not really surprised that they went the extra mile for you... I've spent plenty with them and called with several questions and they've always been helpful, and courteous.

I am very impressed that Will figured out a way to make that happen for you considering they just finished up a free shipping sale ( if you're on their email list or facebook page) and whenever that happens they always have a backlog that they have to catch up on. Glad they worked it out for you.

I ordered control arms and a track bar and was told 3-5 weeks. I got them in a week and a half or two weeks IIRC. They sent emails, and made phone calls to make sure my order was correct and when it shipped

I called Metalcloak with a question and everyone was pretty helpful. There is usually a wait for their kits. Seems like they wait for several to be ordered then get the built up. My game changer came within 1 week. My neighbor with the same kit was 2 or 3. But regardless it's worth the wait.

Almost exactly one month ago I ordered the Game Changer ARB kit. It will be delivered tomorrow according to UPS. Stoked - it will go on this weekend!

I was quoted a much shorter time frame when I ordered and had to call once to find out what was going on when a couple of weeks passed and I hadn't received an update. Its all good though. It probably would have set in my garage for two weeks anyway. I can see how this would be a problem if you were making solid plans.

Ordered an LOD bumper over a month ago. Knew that one was going to be a while when they told me I would be added to the production schedule - LOL.

If something is time sensitive I think its always a good idea to call your order in and let them know if you're working from some kind of timeline.

I hardly think they are a "fad". IMHO they are what America should be. A company that makes money, builds a quality product and stands behind their product with great customer service. PLUS, they innovate and come up with new and better ways to do things. I hardly call that a fad.

Before anyone gets upset for them not responding to emails
"Friends, Metalcloak is currently experiencing a neighborhood wide power-outage. Which means no-phones, no internets, no production. We hope it will be up again soon, but until then, you can continue to send emails or leave messages and we will get back to you as soon as possible."

I ordered their 3.5" arb kit online and they called me the next day to let me know when everything was shipping out and were willing to answer any questions I had. Pretty awesome customer service if you ask me and it only took about a week to arrive at my door. A company with a great product AND great costumer service seems to be rare these days and I'd gladly recommend them to anyone.

I've never been to big of a man to say I'm never wrong. I pulled the trigger too fast. Should have called back to speak to a manager before posting. My arms shipped out today. That is super fast. From what I've read and heard I should be impressed with the product. I'll be ordering the front set soon. Thanks Metalcloak
