condensation on inside roof of hard top?

I went out to my jeep this morning to head to school and I noticed a few spots of water on my center console and then I noticed that the roof of the inside of my hardtop had water on it. Now it hadnt rained in two days so thats not the answer. And it was around 42 degrees outside. Any thoughts about why the inside roof of my hardtop would be wet?

It's not going to be antifreeze on the top but if your heater core happens to have a leak inside, it will cause a lot of humidity inside. (Usually the windows will fog up really bad if it is leaking)

It's just like sleeping in a tent overnight. The temps in the jeep were warmer than the air outside overnight..

BUMP BUMP WORSE THAN THOUGHT

ok so there is still moisture condensating on the inside roof of my hardtop. Also this morning was a puddle of water in the driver side foot well and a smaller puddle in the passengers side. And this afternoon I found moisture on the inside of the windshield right above the defrost vents on top of the dash! I need to figure out why moisture is appearing in my jeep!

I would suspect the heater core as previously mentioned. Loosing coolant?

Ok so I moved to Louisiana and it's been in the 30's at night and rained a few days ago... the back carpet near the damn rear window got all wet.. cannot find where water is coming from but it originates from somewhere near the rear... and now this morning there was a ton of condensation on the inside of my hard top......... heater works fine so I know the heater core is not leaking... could the condensation be from the carpet being wet overnight? gahhhhhhh please help

Yes, and the temperature inside the Jeep being warmer than the outside temperature caused the condensation

I usually leave my driver side window rolled down about 1/4" at night which helps with any condensation.

I had a bad leak originating from my rear window on my hardtop, it caused loads of condensation on the inside of the hardtop roof.
Here's a write up on it if it helps anyone.

Take your carpet all the way out and put it in a warm garage or better yet in your house, let it thoroughly dry out for a few days and in the mean time if you can park your jeep in a garage with the windows all the way down or doors even open. If you leave the carpet in to dry, the padding on the underside has a harder time drying and you'll probably get a musty smell. This time of year at least where I live it's way to cold and moist at night/early morning to dry my jeep out thoroughly outside. Also check to see if your drain plugs are in, my PO didn't put one back so I kept getting a wet spot on my carpet.

I've been having this problem as well but not as bad, only seems to get bad when I wash it. I didn't see any pics on your writeup could you post some or pm me?

No. It is pure water. Does not conduct electricity so your radio is good. ( unless you salt it ) and your dash is as safe as vinyl siding.
