Hi all
Sorry if you have heard all this before. But I have read sooo much I have made myself dizzy.
I have a 2005 sahara auto. It is standard and I want it to look like the TJs you have over in the US. I am on a bit of a budget. Is 2" BB the way to go with larger tyres on original rims? Off road ability is not too important. I love it too much to break it just yet.
All advice much appreciated.

A 2" BB will let you go with 31" or maybe even 32" tires. You can keep the stock wheels if you stick with narrower tires (10.5" or less).

When I bought my 2005 with auto it had 31s and no lift. They looked great, but were stuffed up in the wheel well too much for offroading. I've added a 2" bb, and have plenty of room to offroad with my 31s

31s will fit with no change of lift - just stay on the street.
2005 Jeep Wrangler - 2" Rubicon Express lift, 31" tires. Check out my in-seat subwoofer. I've also blown money on rock sliders, wet okley seat covers, husky floor liners, full and half soft doors and more...

I ran a RE 2" BB with 33 x 12.5's for over 2 years before i added a 1" BL. It looks bad ass, not as nice as I'd like to, but for the $$ i have to spend its great! No rubbing like the stock/31's setup. Its all about the backspacing. I not sure the BS on my new wheels, but I'm sure someone on here could tell you what you need....? I have done some pretty crazy offroadin this summer no major issues,... but with the BB there is no real flex only a little more clearance. I got the 12.5's for the look, but thinner is better for anything off pavement.

Where do you come from? Are there special laws about bigger tires, lifts, ... in your country like here in Germany?

Thanks for all your help. I'm in the UK. London. No special laws, but the police will pull anything that looks different. I think a 2"BB with 32" rubber will do what I want.
Now I just have to choose where to get it all from.
By the way. Late summer over here at the moment. Top and doors off. Just wish the surf was nearer. Having a blast.
Thanks again to you all.
